Maokong famous tea, tea culture has a long history, since 1770's introduction of Anxi migration to Taiwan reclaim such kinds of tea, Moakong tea history began. In 1895, tea master Zhang, Nai-miao and the related families to bring Tieguanyin tea tree from Anxi, Fujian, for carry forward of the tea, let the tea of Maokong much famous. In the photography of Professor Luxury Lang (Howard Rusk Long), there are photos of the woman doing the tea in Mucha tea photography collection, it will be a pity if not properly explore the tea culture.

Previously we introduce the tea scented loop trail, which is a set of trail to experience the culture and history of geology, which have a rich tea culture, beside to find tea in the tea scented loop trails, there are many place to find the tea of Makokng everywhere, we can spend a day or so, to have a better tea experience

Our trip plan start from Zhi Nan school, along the Tea Road trail up to the mountain, the road along with the introduction of tea knowledge, also the tea plantation, the most important, when climbing this trail we will feel that is the closest the trace of tea transportation from the past, like the sense of travelling through time.

Walk along the Ancient Tea road to cable station, we recommend to visit tea master Zhang Nai Miao Memorial Hall, listen the stories about the Maokong tea history, then after, you may taste the famous & delicious tea flavor jelly at ChenXi tea house next to the memorial hall, the tea flavor jelly is handmade by the boss, no any artificial additives, it’s very thirst-quenching

After enjoying tea jelly and listening history, now we back to Maokong Station, forward to the tea scented loop trail, on the road, you can taste tea ice cream, baked eggs or yummy foods at the restaurants, immerse yourself in the tea scent, you can also go to Maochading tea shop to enjoy the snacks.

To the tea scented loop trails, you can choose Tea Develop Center Trail, there are long pieces of pottery story wall, this wall is very local characteristics, there are detail explanations about the tea and rice procedure, once you climb the trail and experience of tea culture. In addition, tea scented loop trails to show the traces of tea everywhere, including one core with two leaves tiles, as well as the rail, teapot landscaping. etc. The Tea Develop Center Trail can access to ZhiShan tea plantation to taste tea, listen to the story telling by Grandpa Zhang, then go up along the health trail, you can still see the large tea plantation with beautiful sight.

Back to the trail entrance and must go to the tea promotion center, where introduce the history and culture of Mucha tea, even illustrate very clearly for the tea making procedure, where you can also enjoy free tea, it will be much better if you bring the own cup for environmental protection.

Back to Maokong station, you can see the cute mascot, one is Tea Daren, Green Shoots which is trail lover, Cha Bao is elf of potholes, and Hua Ni is flower genie, once taste the fun of Maokong by these four mascots.
