(1)Today the principal asked us to go to the principal¡¦s
office with paper and pencils. At first, I think I was going
to be punished. when I entered his office, I saw the web
page of Wan Wei Xiang Factory on the screen. The principal
explained the production process and method of soy sauce,
then took us to the science classroom to draw Mind Maps.
First, we were divided into groups to work on the Mind Map
of Sin Chia Elementary school. Then we worked together to
draw the Mind Map of Wan Wei Xiang Factory. We discussed
with each other enthusiastically and gave the paper to the
principal. He looked satisfied and happy, and told us that
later we would have chance to visit the factories and
producers of soy sauce.
(2)Today, my teacher took my classmates and I to the school
gate and waited for our president of parent teacher
association. Our president drove us to the plantation of
chili and introduced the poles and nets used to sustain the
stems of the chili. He told us tat the unripe chili was
green, and turned red when it was fully ripe. Later, we also
visited our classmate¡¦s home platation of chili, where the
chili was still a small sprout.
(3)I learn many things from today¡¦s interview. Wan Wei Xiang
starts the business since June 28, 1969. I understand the
differences of the quality of soyabeans and black soybeans.
Soyabeans are mellow, while black soybeans are smoothy. The
qualities between manual soy sauce and mechanized one are
also different. Before I went to the factory, I thought it
was very easy to produce manual soy sauce. But later I
realized it was really a hard work to produce, since there
are only few workers to share the heavy workload. I
understand their earnest intention in managing buisness.
Hope they could continue their buisness well, stick on
traditional production of soy sauce and fight against
larch-scaled enterprises that sold chemical soysauce.

(1)On Monday, Octobor 6th, lunch time, our
pricipal asked suddenly that¡¨Who are going to come to my
office later?¡¨I was curious when my classmates were called,
including me. Then he said, ¡§remember to bring your pencil
and eraser.¡¨I wondered what we were going to do then. Later,
we went to the Principal¡¦s office and saw a bottle of soy
sauce. The screen in the office also showed information of
soy sauce. The principal explained the production and
information of soy sauce first. Then he took us to the
science classroom. He illustrated how to draw Mind Map and
asked us to try to draw by ourselves. At last, he said,¡¨Go
out to explore. You guys are the main parts of learning.¡¨
(2)Today my teacher took my classmates and I to the soy
sauce factory to see the products. The products are Black
Soy Sauce, Ba Pu Black Soy Sauce, Ji-Pin Chili Sauce and
Black Soy Sauce Paste. Black Soy Sauce is used for stewed
bean curd and Braised Pork with Preserved Bean Sauce¡]Dong
Po Pork¡^. The Ba Pu Black Soy
Sauce is suitable for fried fish. Ji-pin Chili Sauce is
suitable for Ma Po Tofu. Black Soy Sauce Paste is suitable
for mixing with tofu. Different soy sauce can be used for
different cuisines. I would like to ask my mom to buy
products of Wan Wei Xiang next time.
(3)In the morning, after jogging on the playground, my
classmates and I was called by our teacher. Our teacher
said, ¡¨ Today, we are going to do a cuisine of soy sauce
with avocados and okras.¡¨ We are divided into two teams, two
boys and two girls. The boys are responsible to make okras
with soy sauce. The girls are responsible to make avocados
with soy sauce. I washed the avocado and sliced it into two
halves. We peeled off the skin of avocados and cut it into
cubes. Then, we mixed up the soysauce and mashed garlic,
then pour the sauce on avocados. It¡¦s all done. The cuisine
is tasty. It¡¦s my first to do a cuisine by myself. The
experience is happy and impressive.

(1)Today, our prinpal asked several students to the office.
I was nervous and afraid that whether the principal was
going to punish or award us.Later, my classmates and I go to
the principal¡¦s office. We saw the web page of Soy sauce
factory shown on the big screen with the method of
producting soy sauce and products. Then we went to the
science classroom. The principal asked us to think over our
topic by drawing down Mind Map, for we are going to join the
Cyberfair. We were so happy!
(2)After lunch, my teacher took my classmates and I to the
plantation of chili. He called the president of the parent
teacher assoication first. Then the president led us to
visit his plantation of chili. The chilies are ripe. We took
several chilies with the stems back. Then we visited the
chili plantation planted kust for three months. The
president used bamboo polls and nets to protect the chilis
from wind-blowing. There are several black bags in
prevention of the growth of weeds. Then we took pictures in
the plantation for memorial. The president told us a common
sense that the chili that growed with head on the top is
chili, while with the bommow on the top is hot pepper. It¡¦s
an impressive and happy experience.
(3)That day, I found it is interesting to produce soy sauce.
Although the process is hard-working. The Wan Wei Siang
factory is founded in 1969. The owner and his wife works
hard everyday for 12 hours, but they also have two
employees. The owner said, ¡§it is happy to gain the supports
and affirmatives from the customers.¡¨ The most exhausting
part is to produce soy sauce in summer. The temperature of
the pot to brew the soy sauce is up to 100 Celsius degrees.
It is really hot. In the past time, the managers had to ride
bikes house to house to sell soy sauce. The market to sell
soy sauce is limited, Few people use their manual soy sauce.
However, with the crisis of food safety, people notice the
importance of health. More and more people start to but they
soy sauce, because manual soy sauce is healthier for human
beings. I hope I could join their buisness in the future and
sell the best soy sauce to the world.

In the morning, I was so happy to school. After jogging on

school kitchen. We are told to make a cuisine of soy sauce
with okras. At first, we washedthe okras and boiled with
water for 15 minutes. To chech if the okras are soft and
ready, we poked with chopsticks. We scooped up the okras and
dip dark soy sauce on them. The cuisine is then all done. I
found that the cuisine is tasty and the okras are good for
our stomachs. What a wonderful day!

(2)Today my teacher took my classmates and I to visit Wan
Wei Xiang soy sauce factory, and learned products of soy
sauce. There are many types of soy sauce. Such as Black Soy
Sauce, which can be used for stewed bean curd and Braised
Pork with Preserved Bean Sauce¡]Dong
Po Pork¡^. The
Ba Pu Black Soy Sauce is suitable for fried fish.
Ji-pin Chili Sauce is suitable for Ma Po Tofu.
Black Soy Sauce Paste is suitable for mixing with tofu. And
black sweet soy sauce is suitable to make gingered tomatoes.
After the visit of the soy sacue factory, I found that the
sauce is not just salty, but can used for make many tasty
cuisines and add flavor for people.
(3)I think the factory doesn¡¦t run very well before, it¡¦s
getting better and better now. The reason is that more and
more tourists visit the Land of Rice on holidays, and they
would also stop by the factory and notice that there are
qualified manual soy sauce sold here. Although the workload
of producing soy sauce is heavy, they still work hard and
insist on the good quality of manual soy sauce.
Zhang Jia Xiu
(1)On
Monday, when we were eating lunch, our principal suddenly
asked who were going to the principal¡¦s office at 12:50. My
classmates and I were called. We were so happy. :ater, we
went to the principal¡¦s office and saw the web page on the
big screen with Wan Wei Xiang Factory. The principal
explained the products and production process and announed
that we were going to attend the Cyberfair. Then we went to
the science classroom . He taught us how to draw Mind Map
of Sin-Chia Elementary School. We could think of the diabolo
and ocarina clubs at our school. Then we were divided into
groups to draw Mind Map of Wan Wei Xiang Soy Sauce Factory.
We thought for a while. Then the ring rang. We handed the
paper and went back to the classroom.
(2)This
time we come to observe the process the koji-making. It¡¦s an
new experience. I have no idea what is koji-making. During
the past interview, I knew that koji-making is an important
part in producing soy sauce that influenced the quality of
soy sauce. The boss doesn¡¦t make koji every day, it is
produced when needed. At first, steam the black soybeans,
then pour out and cool down. Then sprinkle with Aspergillus
oryzae. The whole process takes two days to fulfill. It is
really a hard work. I admire the boss for insisting on
traditional methods in producing soy sauce.
(3)My
teacher asked me and my classmates to go to the school
kitchen. She asked us to clean our hands and also the
cucumber. Then slice the cucumber and boil with soy sauce,
sugar and vinegar. While boiling the cucumber, I was curious
of the taste of pickled cucumber. After fulfilling the
cuisine, we tasted first and then shared with other
teachers. We were shy and worried about the taste, however
the teachers all gave good compliments for us.
Zhang Zhen Ni
(1)At
first, I had no idea when my teacher called me. My teacher
asked me to go to the principal¡¦s office in the afternoon.
When I entered the office, I saw the web page of Wan Wei
Xiang Factory with the production information of soy sauce.
I was startled. It must be tasty. I was droolling. Later the
principal took us to the science classroom and taught us how
to draw Mind Maps. He asked us to take the exmaple of Sin
Chia Elementary school. I thought about the clubs of diabolo
and ocarina. Later, we used the topic of Wan Wei Xiang
Factory to draw Mind Maps. I thought of the the production
and methods or producing soy sauce. My classmates and I
thought for a while, then the ring rang. The principal asked
us to hand in the Mind Map and made records of our learning
experiences for we are going to join the Cyberfair.
(2)Today
we come to observe the outcome of koji-making. The black
soybeans with Aspergillus oryzae became yellow and
fermented. We recognized that the fungus is healthy for us,
not like mould. Today we experienced the process of rinsing
and putting the fermented black soybeans into urns that took
180 days to further ferment. To make qualified soy sauce, it
really needs the boss¡¦s experiences and insistence.
(3)The
teacher asked me and my classmates to experience making
pickled cucumber. At the beginning, I sliced and cucumber
and put into the pot. We cooked the cucumber with soy sauce,
vinegar and sugar, then cool down the cucumber for a while.
I gave it a try and found it was cool and tasty. We shared
with teachers and our parents. Everyone was happy and gave
us compliments. I took some back home for dinner and my
family also praised for my good work. Next morning, my
mother made rice porridge to eat with pickled cucumber. It
was really tasty and never tired of eating.
Zhang Jun Yi
(1)At
first, my teacher choosed me. However, I had no idea what to
do. He asked me to go to the principal¡¦s office. When
entering, I saw the web page of soy sauce factory . He asked
us to sit down and introduced the cuisine of soy sauce, like
Dong Po Pork. Then he took us to the science classroom and
taught us to draw the Mind Map. He asked us to think over
Sin Chia Elementary School, and then we knew what to do the.
Then, the bell rang, he asked us to hand in the Mind Map and
went back to our classroom.
(2)Today
my teacher asked me and my classmates to experience making
¡§pickled cucumber with soy sauce.¡¨ When I knew that I was
going to make something to eat, I felt hungry then. We
washed and cleaned the fresh cucumber and then sliced into
chips. We boiled the sliced cucumber with soy sauce, vinegar
and sugar. Then the cuisine is fulfilled. We shared our
cuisine with the principal and teachers. At first, we were
worried for not delicious. However, most teachers compliment
on the cuisine. Even the principal thought our cuisine was
bought from restaurants. I felt happy in this experience.
(3)The owner¡¦s wife said,¡¨ The owner started to learn how to
produce soy sauce when he was 15 years old. He learned from
his master,Mr. Lin GuoCheng, in Yong Fu Xing Soy Sauce
Factory, in SinYing.¡¨ It is hard to imagine the conditions
at that time.
The
owner¡¦s wife said, ¡§It is most exhausting to brew soy sauce
in summer.¡¨ Therefore, I think the owner is really talented.
The owner¡¦s wife also revealed that the rise of Land of Rice
brings tourists and business to the factory. It is
interesting to produce soysauce but also a hard work.
