Chinese:

Whether designing survey questions, thinking up poster promotion content material, compiling webpage content, or writing the feedback and progress reports, we are all constantly tasked with extensive composition writing, and to inspire ideas we brainstorm. We were able to enhance our writing and reading skills through our efforts in this project.

Math:

Because we had to analyze the results collected from our research and our surveys, we had to calculate the percentage of various statistics, and present them in the form of charts via Excel to facilitate analysis.

Society:

Because the night run course passes through the Cultural Department and various historical sites around Changhua, in the process of our research we were at the same time promoting the local cultural heritage.

Natural Science and Life Technology:

After experiencing a night run session we came to realize the importance of gauging whether the terrain of a given part of the course is level enough to jog on, whether it would accommodate the number of participants in one night run session, and what not. When jogging we would look up at the stars and the moon, and learned a thing or two about nocturnal life in the natural environment. Also, when trying to set a new record for ourselves, we would use all sorts of electronic measuring apparatuses to conduct simple yet effective analysis.

Health and Physical Education:

We learned much about how to assess our body conditions while running, and the benefits of night running.

Art and Life:

We designed by ourselves fliers, posters, webpages, team logos, interview passes, and team shirts, while the instructors only lent a helping hand when we were really at a loss as to what to do, which impelled us to work things out ourselves via discussions.

Computer and Information Technology:

Students can learn how to create webpages, how to use cloud storage, how to make presentations, how to interview and provide feedback, and how to type out reports. They can also use Excel to conduct survey analysis and other softwares to edit photos and what not. These are all skills that we must acquire when we pursue further education or jobs in the future, and with help of our instructors we were able to learn how to utilize these skills to a certain degree.

Overall:

We learned of the importance of teamwork during our interview and webpage creation. Some would design the interview questions, some would ask these questions in the interview proper, some would do voice recording, some would organize the results, and everyone would have something to do, and it was because everyone did they their part that the project could be successfully completed.
