300 questionnaires are distributed, excluding the 30 ineffective questionnaires (omission or no filling of basic data), there are 270 questionnaires actually.
In order to analyze the p[reference of different age levels to the puppetry, the basic data in the questionnaire are divided into 4 age levels, respectively children (below 10 years old), adolescents (11-20 years old), adults (21-50 years old) and old people (above 50 years old), in which there are 72 questionnaires for children, 57 questionnaires for adolescents, 99 questionnaires for adults and 40 questionnaires for old people. Due to different number of questionnaires for various ages, comparative analysis is conducted in this paper with percentage.

Analysis:In those who have not watched the proportion, the children (42%) and adolescents (42%) have a higher proportion than adults (0%) and old people (41%), it is estimated that the traditional puppetry (outdoor performance) was performed in the past more than now, at present, with the emerging of TV and other multimedia, people have more choices, and the traditional puppetry has also been performed less than before, to the extent that the present children and adolescents seldom watch the traditional puppetry. However, it is surprised that in the past when TV multimedia was not developed, even 14% of the old people did not watch the traditional puppetry, it was estimated that they were not interested in the puppetry, even if there was performance, they would not watch it. By reference to question 10: Do you want to watch the puppetry if it is to be performed in the activities of the temples near your house? The proportion of old people unwilling to watch the puppetry is just 14%. |

Analysis: In those who have not watched the performance, children (29%) and adolescents (37%) had a significantly higher proportion than adults (0%) and old people (21%), it is estimated that there are so diversified TV multimedia programs at present that the children and adolescents have more choices, in addition, the children and adolescents are at the stage of learning, who are busy with schoolwork usually and have less time to watch TV, to the extent that some children and adolescents have not watched TV puppetry up to now. However, it is surprised that even 21% of the old people have not watched TV puppetry, and the proportion is higher than not watching traditional puppetry (14%) in the previous question, it is estimated that there are too many TV multimedia programs and some old people are not interested in TV puppetry. |

Analysis:the proportion in the part of like very much is respectively old people (57%), adults (36%), children (25%) and adolescents (21%) in a descending order, so it can be seen that the preference of children and adolescents to the puppetry at present has been lower than the previous generation, it might because there are diversified types of multimedia, and the children and adolescents have more choices. |
