We would like to review the results of our Cyberfair project in the following aspects:
1.Questionnaire Survey Findings
As many as 82~86% of the residents in Chungchuan Neighborhood and nearby communities are satisfied with Mr. Lian-fa Lin’s efforts in the green landscape, painted walls, motorcycle licence tests and the extensive network of CCTVs to enhance community safety. 84% of the respondents are pleased by Mr. Lian-fa Lin’s services. We asked why volunteer workers join the cause and many of them said they were inspired by Mr. Lin. The questionnaire respondents indicated that they trust Mr. Lin and support his efforts. Our conclusion is that dedication wins trust and support.
2. Lessons Learned
1.Interview techniques & research methods:
It is necessary to observe the different aspects of the interviewees to gain a complete picture. It is also essential to pay attention to details in order to produce accurate profiles and reports. From this Cyberfair project, we have learned the interview techniques and research methods not available in the classroom.
2.We can reach out to those in need of help.
Inspired by Mr. Lin’s dedication, we started to reach out to the classmates who need assistance. For example, we can organize study groups to help slower students. They can review the curriculum or learn about exam techniques.
3. Importance of etiquette:
During the Cyberfair project period, we received plenty of complements on our good manners from Mr. and Mrs. Lin, volunteer workers and local residents. We came to realize good etiquette is the best way to bring people closer.
4.Start now with community services :
We learned how to get involved in community services and this has broadened our horizon. The smiles from other people made us realize it is a bigger blessing to give than to receive. We can start to get involved now.

3.Services as Life Philosophy
Mr. Lin always greets elderly people by calling them “uncles” or “aunties”. He has done a lot to improve the life quality for senior citizens. The variety of curricula at Chungchuan Learning Centre enriches the life of local residents. Chungchuan Neighborhood has become the most beautiful community of Changhua City. We learned from the Cyberfair project that enthusiasm to serve others is the key to community developments. We can effectively enhance the quality of life if services are part of our life philosophy.

4.Leadership
Under Mr. Lin’s leadership, Chungchuan Neighborhood became a quality community in Changhua. This is the result of the collective efforts from all the residents. From the Cyberfair project, we came to realize that leadership is the key to build solidarity. From Mr. Lin, we see that leadership requires skills in planning, decision-making and implementation. Leaders should always be keen to serve and able to cope with problems in a calm and steady manner. We want to learn from Mr. Lin by serving others and developing our competences in planning and implementation. Hopefully we can be leaders one day.
