While processing our research, the most critical job for us is to get the public to know the purpose of our project. Therefore, we initially interviewed the vendors and residents there so as to design the questionnaires and hand out them on the streets and even on the internet. By doing so, we get to know more about most people’s opinions on whether Yi-Zhong Street needs to be changed.

We also had a discussion with the student committee of the National Taichung First Senior High School and introduced our ideal and goal to the local neighborhood magistrate. After a few thorough interviews and discussions, our team realized the orientation of our action more precisely and then arranged it into paper documents. Thus, we hope our goalof “Change Yi-Zhong Street. We can make it” can be noticed by other cities and even by foreign countries.  To achieve our goal, we decided to convey our thoughts through our website and even translate it into English versions to let the world know that we, a group of high school students, are striving for the environment of our home!

In order to make our project possible to carry out, we gained precious opinions and suggestions from the local vendors and even passersby at Yi-Zhong Street by visiting and interviewing them repeatedly. There are also some people who were familiar with the local community and were pleasant to give us a hand, such as the student committee of the National Taichung First Senior High School and the local neighborhood magistrate, broadening our horizon.Speaking of our petition, there are totally twenty six student committees from 26 high schools helpedhand our petition out. Eventually, 25666 people sign up to support the project. In addition, amounts of people speak out their opinions and questionson our web for fans. In this way, we got to know more about people’s opinion and doubts toward us.

The words of the students from our sister school made us aware that the shopping district we like to frequent has already become a place full of air pollution and garbage. In spite of the fact that most people think itimpossible for us to change the shopping area, we still dare to give it a try.We gradually learned a lot to deal with our emotions and stress.Since we all have schoolwork to do, we must make a great management between our program and studies. We have to learn the lesson of making good use of time.

We sometimes had arguments because the distribution of work wasn't fair or the assignments weren't finished on time. However, we always reached reconciliation by having meetings and communicating with each otherrationally. These experiences made us learn that it takes not only a good team work but also rational communications with each other to accomplish something.

We started up the project with our enthusiasm and passion at the beginning. It had never occurred to us that we could make these achievements and gain so much supports from people. Therefore, we shall keep striving and move forward to our goal in the
