When there’s a palanquin there’s a god. Cute Version of the Holy Statue

The start of the cute version of the holy statues~~~~

After visiting the holy palanquin shop, we had a group discussion with our teacher. We decided to use our hands and heads to plan something for our upcoming school anniversary celebration. Somebody suggested that since our topic title is “Rise of the god in Rixin, Raise the Palanquin for Peace”, when there is a palanquin, there is a god, and when there is a god one can pray for blessings and peace, we should make cute miniatures of holy statues. One of the members went even further by suggesting that we make a life size holy palanquin. After a great discussion, we’ve decided to make the plan a reality. First, we invited our school art teachers Sheng-ping and Yi-zhu to be one of your instructing teachers and help come up with a design plan.

School Anniversary Celebration --- Mini Holy Statue Charity Sale

Due to the fact that it is toward the end of the year and lots of elderlies who live in solidarity are in need of help of charity from social groups, our teacher suggested that we start a charity sale at our school’s 52nd year Anniversary celebration carnival. We put our art works up for sale in the hope to donate the little bit of money we made to the needy and show our care for the less fortunate of our society.

Proceeds from the sale donated to the Genesis Social Welfare Foundation

Proceeds from this charity sale came to $1500NT. Although it didn’t seem like a lot but it’s a representation of our love and passion. With the help of our teacher we donated the proceeds of the sale to the Genesis Social Welfare Foundation Fuxing Township branch. Representative of the Genesis Foundation and our school principal conducting the donation ceremony, and took pictures in the Principal’s office in remembrance of this event.
