Mentor is like a caterpillar. In face of continuous corporate changes, it must break out of the pupa to operate as a reputable shop. In 1991, it extended its reach to Vancouver, Canada. Internationalized operation of the enterprise must be adapted to the local environment and condition. In 2002, the first branch in mainland China was established in Beijing, and it is currently expanding its share in the China market step by step. At seventy years of age, Mr. Lai insists on working in his office daily and making year-round inspectional visits to all the shops to encourage the younger generation to stay "customer-oriented" and "innovative and creative".
