Narration part

I was very nervous and excited today, because we would have the narration for our juniors. When we arrived there, the juniors did not arrive, so we practiced first, and teacher also taught us how to use the microphone. Then I realized it was not easy to be a narrator. It was the show time for us after the juniors arrived. We changed the way of narration according to the situation at the scene to make them laugh. In addition, we held the Q&A time with giving gifts for the contestants. The juniors were all eager to answer the questions. When we saw their happy face, all the tiresome were worthy.

Today, I looked forward to go to the Roundhouse and waited for the coming of the juniors. When they were coming, my heart beat became very fast and backed to smooth after a period of time. While giving the narration, I was suddenly blank in mind but fortunately I had a bright idea that crushed into my mind in a sudden. I tried to add some words to a page and then skip to the final page. When I finished it, I felt so relaxed. Thank my teachers for giving me this chance to join this activity.

Today we went to CRH for giving the narration to our juniors, class304. During Chen-Rong’s narration, all the juniors were sitting quietly and I stood aside holding her handmade X-mind maps. And it was my turn to present Robot R20 to them but I was a little bit disappointed that they did not look at to what I pointed. Then came to the Q&A time with contestants. They were all eager to answer and most of them had right answers. While coming to the question "how many chimneys does the Roundhouse have”, someone said “6” to me, but the answer should be 24. When we finished this activity, the narration today was also ended. What I earned the most was the applause from juniors and their parents.

In the afternoon, we went to CRH to prepare the narrations for our juniors. We drilled for narration first and it went well. When the juniors were coming in and in position, we started to give the narration for them. During the narration, they kept the pleasant mood but some of them did not pay much attention to the narration.  When it was my turn to explain, I was really nervous at first but I felt fine at the end. It was an unforgettable experience and special opportunity for me.

Statistics and questionnaire part

Today we gathered at the second computer classroom. We first classified the questionnaire that we had gotten last time. Then we tallied the vote. I thought the last question was the most interesting one which was about the popular view and the best one was the Roundhouse while the worse one was banyan tree zone. It was obviously that we made a successful narration but what made me feel sad was that a student said he had few understanding about the Roundhouse.

We tallied the result regarding questionnaire of narration on Tuesday and I was in charge of writing the tally marks on the board. I was happy with one sample showed the respondent had a better understanding of the Roundhouse after the narration. It was hard for me to do this task at first that I would always forget to add up the votes and I finally got used to it. When the results were summarized, I was really happy for completing another task.

We finally had the chance to know if the juniors were satisfied with the narration. I was excited but worried. And we were really happy to know they were all satisfied with our narrations. But the part of Yun-Lin “Robot R20” did not earn their appreciation which made her upset and I teased her that she was capable of making people laugh instead of giving the narration.

Today we were going to add up the votes of the questionnaires. Ju-Chun took charge of tally table on the board and the others had to read out the votes on the distributed questionnaire they got. I was really glad to learn many juniors like the steam locomotives and diesel and electronic locomotives. And I also learned that someone expressed a great narration we gave which made me touched and I would like to say thanks to them!
