Mr. Ma and Changhua Cool-Bow

You are the president of Babuza Railway Culture and History Working office, the expert of railway culture and also the one stood for keeping the Roundhouse. We all admire about what you have done. We would like to ask you some questions:

When did you become a railway fan?

I lived by the railway and got a lot of chances to watch the trains passing through which made me interested in railways when I was a child. Hence, I was determined to be a railway police officer in the future in order to be capable of helping others and get more chances to watch trains quite often.

Why did you think CRH has to be kept?

We have to preserve the last remaining Roundhouse for steam locomotives so that our children can see the genuine trains instead of  electrified trains only. Moreover, I want to make CRH a living railway museum showing its beauty to all over the world.

What does a railway volunteer do on duty?

I like to help people very much. As a volunteer, I can help people and I am very happy to accept appreciation from passengers I helped. A volunteer has to answer the questions the passengers ask, sell and inspect tickets, and help passengers get on and off the trains.

Mr. Ma encourages us to be volunteers of  railway culture.

Have you ever met with any difficulties on the volunteer duty?

Train delay and natural disasters are the hardest situation. When the trains can not arrive on time, passengers can not approach the destination is very tough situation to handle.

We took pictures with Mr. Ma.

Some words from Cool-Bow

When we interviewed Mr. Ma, he said he saw the trains passing through every day when he was a child, which made him love trains gradually. Mr. Ma is also a volunteer at Changhua Station and narrator of CRH at his leisure. He indicated that CRH has to be kept to let future generation have the chances to close to and learn from it. I think he is a real hero to stand for what is the right thing to do.

Mr. Ma has been interested in railway and made a lot of effort to promote railway culture. Moreover, he has taken an active part in all activities for preserving CRH. At present, He would assist for the Roundhouse activities. I really admire his passion and persistence.

We went to interview Mr. Ma who is a railway volunteer. He mentioned that many people suggested elevating railroad after railway electrification without any thoughtful consideration. He also remarked further that railway elevation project might decrease the commercial possibilities around the train station which would disadvantage development of Changhua City.

Mr. Ma is perceptual and humorous and also passionate at trains which makes me admire. While he was talking about trains, he seemed like talking his old friends. Although I had to keep standing at the interview, I still benefited a lot from the interview.
