*How did the project combine with the school, academic district, or outlines of national curriculum?
Our principal served as the Curator of the Tropic of Cancer Solar Exploration Center in November, 2006. The theme of our school basis curriculum was extended on the low, middle, and high graders. It was also combined with the information curriculum.
*What skills did we learn?
We learned how to design and make web pages. We also learned how to use digital camera, recording pen, and flash disk. Moreover, we learned that everyone should cooperate with each other and do our own duty in the team.
*What thoughts and methods of teamwork have we practiced and learned?
Every part of research is teamwork and cannot be done alone. Like a tiny but important screw, we need to cope with one another to proceed smoothly and successfully with the research.

*What specific ideas have we acquired?
We realized that learning is boundless. Besides knowledge in textbooks, there is still lots of interesting and useful information for us to explore. Also, joining the activities can bring unexpected results.
*How did this project combine with the need of our school and class?
In addition to its accordance with our curriculum of school basis, we had held such activities as “designing the new generation landmark” and questionnaires to let all students join the research of our special project.

*Is there anything wrong with the present educational system?
The present education emphasizes personal academic performance. However, the importance of learning process and teamwork cannot be ignored. It is a pity that most students in Taiwan don’t have this kind of learning opportunity due to the fixed schooling time.
*What role did we play in the community?
The Solar Exploration Center often held activities for people to join. We felt ourselves important because we expressed the information to our family and neighbors. We brought the clear schedules or notifications of the activities to let them know the related information.
*What’s the difference of using the Internet and the traditional way for teaching and learning?
Our teacher has shared her experience of learning when she dared not to ask teachers questions. She used to look up in the encyclopedia, but not every time could she find the answer. Now in the world of the Internet, we only need to move our fingers to find anything we need. However, our teacher also reminded us that many students’ handwriting ability is decreasing because they rely too much on computers.
*The most useful tool:
We think the most useful tool is the computer. Whether we used the recording pens, digital cameras, or flash disks, all of the materials acquired need to be handled by the computer. Even making of web pages is in need of it.

*How can people all over the world know better about our township through our website?
Our school is the only one in the world that has the Tropic of Cancer going through. We called ourselves the unique “sun primary school of the world.” We believe people from other countries would like to visit us to feel the special custom and geography at the conjunction of the tropics and subtropics after surfing our website.

*Our new relationship with the community
The Schemer Qing-liang Yang made a speech to our school on December 6, 2006. He not only let us learn more about the Tropic of Cancer, but also revealed that his team was working on the planning of the “Dao-jiang Stream” in front of our school. We were asked to provide information and design for it. Maybe he would adopt our ideas.
