Taipei World Trade Center  

　　In 1970, our national economy grew so rapidly with export trades. In compliance with the development trend at that time, the Government planned and constructed 4 buildings of 4 major functions such as merchandise exhibition, trade services, conference services and hotel & restaurant etc., i.e., the current Exhibition Building, International Trade Building, International Conference Center and Grand Hyatt Taipei to form a four-in-one tower group so called Taipei World Trade Center with complete function. To international trade personnel, it’s convenient and provided with complete service.
 

　　As shown in the picture, the entire external wall of the World Trade Exhibition Building is in tender pink that seems to have been formed with building blocks, it’s really outstanding. World Trade Center is a place so familiar to people from Taipei. For instance, furniture exhibition, information exhibition, jewelry exhibition, cuisine exhibition, car exhibition and even international books exhibition are mostly held here. 

Grand Hyatt Hotel  

    The Chinese name of Grand Hyatt Taipei was formerly Kai-Yatt Hotel but later changed to Taipei Chuen-Yatt Hotel despite her English name remains the same. It is a busy district of commercial, shopping and leisure spot. Grand Hyatt Taipei provides commercial guests fast services, meanwhile she also makes her leisure guests enjoyable in Taipei’s best amusement and shopping heaven.

There are two columns at central lounge in 1^st Floor of Grand Hyatt Taipei where mega frame of red incantation is painted on it. It is told to comprise the effect of evil extinguishing.

Department Store Area  

　　The building with red column is Shinkong Mitsukoshi. Shinkong Mitsukoshi has 4 buildings respectively A4, A8, A9 & A11 in the neighborhood of Taipei 101. Every one of them has viaduct in connection with another. Moreover, they are also linked to New York New York, Warner Village, Taipei 101, Grand Hyatt Taipei, and World Trade Center with viaducts making all in one as active flow of commercial circle. It’s really convenient.

　　Shinyi New Space A8 building is located at exit of MRT Pan-Nang Line adjacent to A11 building. It is a popular shopping mall that fulfills all classes of consumers.
 

　　Shinyi New Space A9 building is located near A11 building and opposite of Warner Village Cinemas. It’s a high-caliber theme department store with international fine works and multinational cuisines restaurants. It is a modern high-quality shopping heaven.

　　Shinyi New Space A11 building is ranked as the key position of Taiwan’s 21^st Century heavy weight Shinyi Commercial circle. Its major customers are new comers of working class and young families. It’s a shopping bazaar for those with new ways of living who emphasize on customization.

Taipei Warner Village  

　　Taipei Warner Village Cinemas was opened on January 24, 1998. It has a total of 17 movie rooms and its investment mounts to 50 Million US Dollar. There are statues of famous movie stars such as Baby Rabbit and Spiderman etc. inside the Village Cinemas which make every one feels like experiencing a movie world. The Cinemas has applied the most advanced high-tech for entertaining its audience with utmost visual effect. It provides a comfortable visual space which conventional movie theaters fail to comprise.

Warner Village is quite close to Taipei 101! Go to 101 for shopping in the morning and come to Warner Village in the after noon. In the evening, go to Grand Hyatt for enjoying high-class services. Isn’t this a 5-star class entertainment?　　

Taipei City Government  

    After Taipei City was transformed into a city administrated by Administrative Yuan in 1968, her population had greatly increased. As the City Government’s administrative workload enormously increased, the Taipei City Government Tower was built to improve the demand in fulfilling better function for servicing her residents. Her outlook is in a double cross shape, this may have something to do with our National Cerebration Day on Double-tenth. She is in cream-colored and there are 4 doors there two on left side and the other two on the right. Her left door is closer to Taipei 101.

Taipei is an international and big city. This building is also an intelligent tower with 6000 employees stationed in it. The City Government Hall is very spacious with a total floor area is 197,000 square-meter so that the task of her management and maintenance is undertaken by contractor in terms of intensive management and integral deployment. The departments in charge are later individually authorized for supervision with according to their respective vicinity.

　　Taipei Explore Hall is located at straight west area of the main building of Taipei City Government Hall from 1^st Floor to 4^th Floor which occupies about 2727 square-meter. It was formally opened to public in 1994. Taipei Explore Tower is the first domestic city museum. It is a place that describes the story of Taipei. The Explore Hall is also simultaneously in charge of two essential tasks such as social education and City Government policy announcement. It comprises of functions such as collection, research, exhibition, education and leisure etc. It is a place for understanding the past, present and future of Taipei.

Eslite Bookstore

　  Along with the New Year welcoming final countdown and fireworks, the island’s largest bookstore – Eslite Bookstore Shinyi Branchwas opened at the first historical moment of 2006.

    Eslite Bookstore Shinyi Branch is precisely a new cultural space with bookstore as her theme. The design and arrangement of its shopping area differ from other department stores. The 1^st Floor is designated to be mainly for trendy merchandise, 2^nd to 4^th Floor is bookstore in operating it in terms of many individual shops in it so called “Shops in a Stores”. 5^th Floor is designed as parent & children amusement parlor which is told to be Taiwan’s first Children Explore Museum with an area of 661-squaremeter, that is where children bookstore located; 6^th Floor is for Eslite cultural & theme restaurants area. B1 is provided with mainly young trendy merchandise. B2 is fine cuisines street.
 

    The bookstore has a total area of 24,793 square-meters. In 2^nd Floor to 4^th Floor, approximately 58 different bookshops such as living and reading etc are erected in there. Its significance is the designing of the spaces. Each individual type of books is placed in the same shop by forming a kind of “Shops in Stores”. For instance, “Books of Simplified Characters”, “Japanese Books”, “Arts Books” etc are there making each individual shop seems like a theme library to readers .

    In consideration of lingering customers in Shinyi commercial circle at night, some of Eslite Bookstore’s bookshops open at 10 am and close at 2 am. 1F, B1, B2, 5f and 6F open at 10 am and close at 10 pm.

    Managing Director of Eslite Chin-Yo Wu said “Eslite will become a counter for Taiwan to meet cultures from the globe by providing a reading space better than those in Europe and America”.

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall  

　　Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was designed by the well-known architect Wang Tahong as a Chinese Building with yellow lazurite tile roof built in 1972. It was originally a subordinate of Taipei City Government. Its administration was transferred to Ministry of Education in July 1986 and combined with Yangmingshan Chungshan Hall by the official name as “Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Administration Department” and abridged as “National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall”. Every day at noon, its guard shifting ceremony usually attracts many visitors to watch.

    Chungshan Park is an open park that occupies more than 110,000 square-meter of land and comprises of a green lake planted with water lily in it and green willow trees along her bank. There are also artificial mountains and bridges surrounding it. 3 to 5 people are seen here and there relaxing or posing or watching fish from the bank encircling the lake. Flowers and grass there change in every season so that Chungshan Park is more vital so that is always makes its visitors to experience a satisfactory amusement.
