“Little fish, little fish swims in the river,
Swims here and swims there with the joyful tone,
It takes rest near the water and grass, when it feels tired;
Hunting the small insects, when it feels hungry…”
　

　　“Tiny, little firefly flies west, and flies east; shinning here, and shinning there, like plentiful small lanterns.”

　　These two children’s songs are so legendary that everyone knows how to sing it. However, as the time is passing by, there is rarely fishes swimming in the fresh creek and river leisurely around us; there is no firefly fluttering around us in the wild fields. Although there are many reasons to explain this phenomenon, humankind, who stands at the top level of the great chain of being, is the main target or enemy who causes this misfortune.

　　“Water” is the main resource that all God’s creations reply on for living. It also takes the major percentage in every kind of organism and animals. But the unfortunate thing is that humankind doesn’t treasure it well. When we unlimitedly damage and waste it, we indirectly make a lot of living beings lose their chance to continue lives. Though, it doesn’t embody that all of us are evil pressers for our environment. When we walk out our school, interviewing, and examining with those local citizens, we then realize that there are so many reserving and protecting works in our community, which are put into practice by our village people. Around the Rui-feng mountain areas, our main goal and situation is to conserve the livelihood of Kooye Minnow and firefly. For example, local citizens of Rui-feng village, Rui-li village, and Tai-xing village, actively do the preserving works of the Kooye Minnow around the upper stream of the Qing-shui stream, which locates at the border of these three villages. So far, their hardworking brings a very remarkable achievement. What have been recorded in the next paragraph are our statistics about the contributions that our neighboring people make for our community, after interviewing.

First: Kooye Minnow
● They make up teams to protect and patrol the fishes.
● All of us work so hard to protect the source of water, in order to prevent it from being contaminated
● Those illegal behaviors, which are used to catch fishes by electricity and poison, are forbidden in the preservation area.
● We endeavor to enhance, and promote the importance of environmental protection for both local people, and outside tourists.
● Through taking the root downwards, we hold several school activities to let our students to form the basic concepts about the significance of fish protecting.

Two: Firefly
● One should reduce the usage of the agricultural chemical to avoid the water from being polluted.
● We should decrease the development and construction of the land to let fireflies have enough living space to maintain their lives.
● By declaring the methods how to protect firefly, we can let people realize how to love and appreciate firefly.

　　Through presenting the topics of the “net exposition,” and “water fairy,” we can instruct and delight people not only the importance of the source of water, but also realize the great influence of water, which affects the life of both humankind and every living thing on earth.
