What is Hakka culture in Zhongli ?

Hakka culture is created by Hakka ancestors and is known by people in Taiwan. Hakka culture involves Hakka dialect, dramatic music, traditional dance, handicrafts, scrumptious food, and exceptional costume.

According to the Hakka Committee's survey, Taiwan's Hakka population exceeds 4.53 million. Hakka people are hard-working and frugal. The spirit of Hakka is respecting their culture and education.

The evolution of the Hakka costume is quite special. In ancient agriculture society, most Hakka people worked hard and sweated a lot. They liked to wear clothes without buttons on it, and the color of clothes was blue. They called the style of clothes “Lán Shān.”

So, the flavor of Hakka cuisine is oily and salty. Even though the condition of the food seems not so healthy nowadays, it was a dreamy snack for our Hakka ancestors at the time. There are lots of special tasty desserts in Zhongli. Let’s take a look at it~
