Our school held a flea market last December. We participated and planned an interesting activity for all the students in our school. We made a poster to introduce Hakka culture and design a funny game for them to realize what is Hakka tasty dessert. We also did questionnaires at the same time, but sadly found most students in our school had barely knowledge about Hakka culture. That totally shocked us and that’s why we did the project to express it. Hope everyone around us will know more about it.

2. Get to know the different aspects of tasty desserts of Hakka culture by the S.W.O.T. analysis.

Strength: Hakka dessert has become part of our daily life. It’s easy for us to taste different kinds of dessert and experience its unique culture around us. The flavor has been adjusted to fit the young generation nowadays, less oily and salty, much healthier than before. 

Weakness:

Japanese dessert is similar to Hakka dessert. They have the same ingredients, but Japanese desserts have much better prospects and development. It’s very important to think about what we can do for continuing and extending the tasty dessert?

Opportunity:

Nowadays, our government has made a lot of efforts on local culture. The government wants to keep its history and creates a new page of it. They hold lots of activities for everyone to experience and built some local cultural buildings to exhibit precious things for recalling memories of those old days.

Threat:

People in this generation all like to follow new and interesting things except our local traditional culture. We are Hakka people, we need to familiar with our land and we try to love it from the bottom of our heart. We hope we can learn more useful knowledge and history about our local culture. 

3. What we say and what we do 

In our project, we try our best to introduce it to our friends and classmates. Before this project, we needed to study Hakka culture in advance, create questionnaires, ask elders who can teach us to make the traditional Hakka dessert and so on.
