About us

I am Yumi, Hou. I have lived nearby Zhongli since I was born, and I usually go to this district in my free time. I am happy that I can know more about this beautiful city. Before this project, I didn't know lots of  Hakka desserts. In the beginning, I only answered mochi, radish cake and vegetable buns. I have learned so much during this project, what is Hakka culture, how to make my favorite Hakka dessert and how to introduce these desserts to people. And the most important thing is that I can identify different spices of rice now. Now I want to share this project with my family,my friends and everyone who is interested in it.

Hi, my name is Shu-en, Pan. I'm a twelve-year-old student in Zhongli junior high school. I enjoy learning new things and doing scenery drawing . I think knowing my hometown is  the most important thing in my life. Through the project, I deeply explore my hometown, Zhongli. For instance, the largest living group in Zhongli is Hakka. How to cooperate with my partners, and interviewed the CEO who grows rice and owns the  process of rice production. I would like to share our exploring story with you.

I am Sandy, a junior high school student, living in Zhongli. I am really interested in my hometown. Joining this project gives me a chance to learn it more and know much about how to cooperate with my teammates. We chose Zhongli to be our topic because it has plentiful Hakka culture, we are all Hakka people and we hope everyone, who lives in this place, will understand how unique Hakka culture is. During these several months, we did our best to make this project well, went to a farm to interview the CEO, learned how to make traditional Hakka desserts, and made a website to introduce it. Through this project I got lots of knowledge of Hakka culture and I would like to share this local culture to everyone.

My name is Amanda, a junior high school student in Zhongli. I love to listen to music, read, and discover new knowledge. At first, I had no idea what CyberFair was. Then our teacher told me how to do it step by step, and I learned many things like how to search, how to make a website...and lots of useful knowledge. All in all, this competition made me understand more about the largest Hakka settlement--Zhongli, and how to make traditional Hakka dessert, mochi. This is a precious memory that I will try my best to share what I have learned to everyone. Hopefully, our website can make some difference to the one who is looking at it.

Hi, I am Xin chun, Fan (Chasel). I'm from Zhongli junior high school. I have lived in Zhongli since I was born. I am glad to participate in this project. In the beginning, we did not know what to do. All we can do is to ask and to search. And there were many difficulties at first, we did not know how to make a web, so we asked for our teacher's help. It was really difficult. I got a lot of satisfaction from doing so many things with my partners. It was an incredibly special experience for me! And through the making, I have learnt a great deal of things including how to share responsibility with my partners, how to describe my thoughts, and how to arrange my leisure time. Processing this project has done a great influence on me, and I hope you enjoy our attentively made website!
