Today I had a happy visit to Fu Jing Restaurant. Last time I
couldn’t go there because of the
rehearsal of the club. I was nervous because I had to interview Mr. Chen before my teacher arrived. I found in the restaurant many railway relics
in early times, and even black film records
which are almost disappearing now. Mr. Chen was very kind and invited us to eat
fried chicken leg. I have to say that chicken leg was
so delicious that I am still recalling its taste. After eating, Mr. Chen took us to the second and third
floors for a visit. He also played the gramophone records
of steam trains recorded in
1960. Mr. Chen said that as Ershui people,
he must have a collection of Luoxi
stone. So he specially
invited people to carve his favorite train 135 with Luoxi stone. Today, we have
a full harvest. I hope we can have dinner at Mr. Chen's next time.

I was really impressed by
Mr. Chen's collections. All kinds of train collection are full of surprises.
Mr. Chen's enthusiastic reply also makes me learn a lot. On the second and
third floors there are many collections that I have never seen. All
collections, whether it is the Xiluo station, the mother-child clock, the old
Shetou Station model, or the gramophone records, the uniform of the train,
etc., made me feel like coming to the time tunnel. I saw a lot of things that
have never been found in my life. Mr. Chen has been tirelessly introducing one
object after another. Thanks to Mr. Chen.

Today, I went to Fu Jing Restaurant.
We asked questions and took pictures.
Before that, Mr. Chen offered
each of us a chicken leg. It was not only
crispy and tender, but also full of
Mr. Chen's hospitality.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we found several more
pictures on the wall. Mr. Chen said that they were returned after the Water
Running Festival. He took a few pictures in a hurry and went up to the second
floor.
Mr. Chen introduced everything to us in more
detail. I also found that Mr. Chen had put a lot of lunchboxes in the stairwell, which
responded to a sign in the shop [a nerd bought a train]. On the third floor, we were frightened by two dummies again. Mr.
Chen added a lot of collections. I
found the keyboard used in the past to sell tickets at the counter. I found it very
interesting
as it includes everything: the ticket
form, ticket
type and destination. When we went back to the first
floor, Mr. Chen took us to visit
his train
135. Once inside, there was a
bright red button. Mr. Chen said if we were curious, we could press it. A classmate volunteered to
press it, and then came a loud honk
that frightened everyone.
Nomatter how many times you visit here, you can always feel Mr. Chen's enthusiasm
and humor. I think that's why Mr. Chen's restaurant can be a happier and better
place.

Today, I enjoyed a happy
visit to Mr. Chen’s Fu Jing Restaurant with my classmates and teachers of the Cyberfair
project. When I arrived at Fu Jing Restaurant, I felt that the collection of
trains here was beyond my imagination. Although I had seen it in the photos, it
looked different when we actually saw it. Moreover, Mr. Chen also kindly
invited us to taste the chicken legs of his restaurant. We interviewed Mr. Chen
and then Mr. Chen took us to the second and third floors to see his train
collections. Mr. Chen not only collects trains but also the tickets, train
route maps for trains in Taiwan at the early period. There were also clocks
before Taiwan Railways, and a mother-child clock which would move if you move
the other clock. Mr. Chen also told us the story of the doubling of the price
for the pocket watch. He also let us put on the hat of Taiwan Railway in the
early period so that we could experience the responsibility of the railway.

At Fu Jing Restaurant, Mr.
Chen greeted us lightly and kindly answered all our doubts. We really recommend
Fu Jing Restaurant because you can not only enjoy delicious food but also see
many cultural relics related to railways. On the first floor of Fukui, there
were many train models, including a train model Zi Qiang, which contained a
model of tube shooter. While introducing, Mr. Chen led us to the second floor
to see his collection of train-related stuff. Mr. Chen's collection is not only
on the second floor, but also on the third floor! Although Mr. Chen liked
trains, he would not visit abroad for trains because if he did so, there would
be no one to run the restaurant. For this reason he hasn’t travelled abroad
till now. Mr. Chen also shared with us his life. He said, “If you want to do
something you like, just do it.” When Mr. Chen wanted to start his business, he
got the full support of his family. So he what the family did not object to, so
only today. This is why he has the achievement today.

When I first went
to Fu Jing Restaurant in Shetou, I thought it was big. When I arrived
there, I found it completely different from what I imagined. I though its first
floor was big, but I was wrong. It was very small and compact. Mr. Chen
answered all our questions very patiently and to our surprise, he generously
offered each of us a chicken leg. Mr. Chen took us to visit the second and
third floors. At the left of the stairway upward to the second and third
floors, Mr. Chen placed may iron lunchboxes used in the past. The second and
third floors are exhibition floors, where he collected many stuff related to
railway. For example, Mr. Chen has a collection box that collects all kinds of
railway badges, such as the conductor's badge, the railway traffic police
badge, the air raid badge of Yunlin County, and many very old railway articles.
Mr. Chen also introduced all the collections to us. Then Mr. Chen took us to
see the treasure that Mr. Chen has maintained over the years. That is his
favorite railway patrol train135. Mr. Chen said train135 is his most important
item for many years. It has 63 years of history, but it is still running. There
is a button in the train. Mr. Chen said that there is a red button and we could
press it. So we did it. Then it suddenly honked a loud horn, which frightened
all of us. After sitting in the train135 for a while, we planned to leave. Chen
sent us a book written by Mr. Chen himself, "a nerd buying a train".
Mr. Chen is really nice. This restaurant is really a good recommendation. When
he has time, we really want to come here to try the convenience food here. Then
we waved goodbye to Mr. Chen.

Today we went to visit
Mr. Chen’s Fu Jing Restaurant. Before we reached outside Fu Jing Restaurant, we
only saw a level crossing fence. I thought it was a new railway station, but
then I realized there couldn’t be two railway stations in a village, so we
approached it curiously. To my surprise, the closer I approached, the more I
felt it like a railway station. I always thought was a railway station until in
the end I saw the four big characters meaning [Fu Jing Restaurant]. Only then
did I realize that it was not a railway station, but the place I would visit
today. The building looks like an early train in Taiwan. It has the same locomotive
as an early train, and beside it is the same platform as a railway station. It
is such a good duplicate that I couldn’t tell it is a copy of railway station.
When I entered, I was even more surprised that not only the exterior of the
building looked like the railway station, but also the interior is arranged
exactly like the early train, just like a movie plot that the students at their
prime ages would habitually dropped their schoolbags on the shelves above as
soon as the students got on the train from or after school. I thought it was
just a simple design restaurant, but I didn't expect that it had interesting
stories waiting for us to discover.
(The best design restaurant in my mind)

During
Mr. Chen's introduction, I noticed many new paintings on the wall, some of
which were lent to the library by Mr. Chen and one of which was directly
painted on the wall; Mr. Chen was really a train enthusiast, because when
discussing about the oil paintings behind the counter, Mr. Chen could tell the
meaning of each train number like an expert, for example, C is the model, if it
is followed by T, it is a coal train and it also means that the train is
traveling long distances. He looks very enthusiastic when talking about the
train. We also asked Mr. Chen about the meaning of the
spoons. Mr. Chen said that he would only offer it to the visiting President,
Japanese guests, journalists and reporters only. He also led us to visit the
second and third floors. I was always curious about how many things Mr. Chen
collected about trains. After visiting upstairs, I knew, wow!!! Amazing…I also
listened to the music played by gramophone record. It is the first time I
hear music from an antique gramophone record instead of the mobile phone. The
teacher also asked me to carry the big stuff that I don’t know how to describe.
It writes “Shetou Station” and looks like something vendor would carry for
selling goods on on-distance trains. On the third floor, I saw the turntable phone
we used to make calls before. When I couldn't understand the super-large round
thing for the train captain to exchange keys, Mr. Chen carefully explained to
me how to use the exchange keys. We also wrote down the words of blessing on
the message board on the third floor, while I left "Fukui is great".
Mr. Chen showed us his collection, small train 135. We
sat in the train and touched the train that was not like the Retro Black train
displayed in the park. Mr. Chen also asked us to press the red button. At
first, we all said no because It was terrible, but some curious guy pressed it.
We thought we were all over, but luckily it was just a honk. Finally, we took a
photo with Mr. Chen in front of the restaurant and ended our visit today. I
took a lot of pictures today!!! May Mr. Chen's business flourish and happy 20th
anniversary, too!
To
realize a dream:
First,
do something you are interested
Second,
support of the family is very important
Third,
for something you want to do, “it is very import to do it with your own efforts!!!”

Today, I went to
Ershui Junior High School's alumni's bento box restaurant, which was named
"Fu Jing Restaurant". When the teacher told us the name, I thought it
was a Japanese restaurant because there were two words "Fu Jing" in
front of the name. It turned out that I thought too much, as it was not a
Japanese restaurant at all, but a dining hall with its own unique style. It
looks like a train from outside, and inside it is arranged like the seats of
the old train, with the table that is not conspicuous. When we finished the
interview, Mr. Chen took us to see the train models he had collected for a long
time and also stuff left behind by Mr. Chen's father when he drove the train.
Suddenly all of us were attracted by the same thing. We thought it was just a
small model of the train, but we were all astonished when Mr. Chen told us that
it was wine because we didn't even know where the bottle mouth was. Then Mr.
Chen introduced to us a very old clock. Mr. Chen called it the
"mother-child clock" because if it moves the other three clocks will
follow it. Then Mr. Chen took photos for us. At
the end of the interview, Mr. Chen invited each of us to have a super-large
chicken leg. We were very happy and thanked Mr. Chen for sparing time to
receive our interview. After the interview, Mr. Chen took us to see train 135.
When we saw its appearance and internal structure, we all had an impulse to go
inside and see it. Before we retrieved that impulse, Mr. Chen opened the door
of the train and said we could have a look inside but we should definitely not
step on the accelerator. We all went inside happily. Mr. Chen introduced the
story and history of this train. At that moment, a classmate was curious about
the red button on the controller, so what ask Mr. Chen what it was for. Mr.
Chen joke, “It will explode if you press it!” and then he said, “never mind.
Just press it, and then you will know”. When we did press the button, it
immediately gave a loud honk, making all of us laugh so much. Afterwards, we
went downstairs and took a photo together with Mr. Chen. Then we returned home
after a happy day.

When I was in
elementary school, my grandfather took me to Fu Jing Restaurant for lunch.
There were too many guests and the business were really good. At that time, I
thought the design there was very unique and I was quite curious (for
example, why it uses locomotive of the door and why the chairs look so much
like those on the trains, etc.)
Actually,
I was a little nervous about the visit, but Mr. Chen's lively introduction
and sharing made me feel less nervous gradually. And Mr. Chen also took us to
the Fujing Museum on the 2nd and 3rd floors. After
seeing Mr. Chen's collection on the 2nd and 3rd floors, I was so surprise to
find out that the display on the 1st floor was just the corner of the
iceberg. Under the detailed introduction of Mr. Chen, I not only solved my
doubts that I had in my elementary school, but also knew more about the
history of trains and all kinds of tools related to trains, such as
mother-child clock. I also had a special experience of taking pictures with
the captain's hat. I learned a lot from this interview. It’s great that we
had a smooth interview today. The only pity for me this time is that I didn’t
have enough time to stamp with all the over 100 seals collected by Mr. Chen.
