※Silver Star Weather Station – Initiation and Establishment
When master Lu Quan-en was only ten years old, he determined to build a weather station because Typhoon Thelma, Typhoon Vera struck in July and August of 1977. In the beginning, he used iron sheets to build a weather station. Afterwards, he set up a new weather observation station at his house.
His weather station obtained national certification in August 1990. In the beginning, he did not have enough budgets to buy decent instruments, so he had to manually document those records. As soon as he earned enough money, he would buy them one by one without hesitation. He hoped these instruments could sustain for a few decades but the chronic sea wind corrosion inevitably damaged them, and affected observation results. From a simple clothes drying yard with only basic and not very precise weather instruments, to a small weather bureau like weather station with high-end instruments, and moderating a Facebook fan page with millions followers, all these are accomplished by master step by step through decades of hard work. Master Lu Quan-En said that since having the weather station, he uploads the daily information online for followers after work every day. Everyone can learn about daily weather instantly. If he did not update on time, he also feels sorry to his followers having to wait. Therefore, master tries his best to update weather report on time. Even if he has to wake up early to read through data, he is willing to do so for his followers. His spirit is very admirable! Silver Star Weather Station now
