Q1: Have you ever heard the seed paper?

 

As shown in the chart, 87% have not heard the seed paper, so the seed paper can’t be seen everywhere. Only 13% respondents heard it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Based on Likert Scale, we enlarge the five options in a percentage. Therefore, the option, “ I am willing to use this product” sands for 100%, “I may give it a try,” 75%, “Let me think about it,” 25%, “I don’t accept this product,” 0% of acceptance.

 

 

Q2: Seed paper is a type of handmade paper that includes any number of different plant seeds. You can write with it, but it feels coarse. Do you accept to use this product?

As shown in the chart. 73.9% of the respondents choose “I may give it a try.” and 24.5% of the respondents choose “I am willing to use this product.” In general, the acceptance is 80% which is high.The result indicated that most of the respondents accept seed paper.

 

Different age range of acceptance for texture of seed paper:

As shown in the chart, each age range has a high degree of acceptance for the seed paper. On the other hand, two respondents choose “Let me think about it.” because 2 respondents is minority compared to the total 40 respondents. It can be seen that the acceptance of different ages is higher than middle value 50, but teenage respondents aged from 13 to 22 are easily accept defend texture of paper than middle-aged respondents aged from 31 to 40.

Q3: Seed paper is a type of handmade paper that includes any number of different plant seeds. But its price is as three times expensive as the general paper. Can you accept to use this product? As shown in the chart, 52.7% of the respondents choose “Let me think about it.”,and 37.5%, “I may give it a try.”. In general, the acceptance rate is 46. The results of the survey were found that most respondents care about price a lot. Compared to Question2, the respondents are more sensitive to price in Question 3 because they tend to choose the options below the middle value. It shows that most respondents do not care about texture of the paper but rather the price of it.

Different age range of acceptance for price of seed paper:

As shown in the chart, the fresh graduates at the age range "23 to 30 years old” have higher acceptance rate ,65 than the students at the age rate “13 to 22”. This is probably because of financial capability. However, the acceptance of the respondents with higher financial capability aged ranged at "31 to 40", "41 to 50", and "over 50" is lower than that of the respondants,fresh graduate, aged "23 to 30". It can be seen that even if the price of the seed paper is more expensive than that of the ordinary ones, the fresh graduate at the age range "23-30 year olds" are willing to spend money more than those who are over the age of 31.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q4: If you received seed paper as a gift, you can plant it in the soil after you reading the seed paper. How do you feel? As shown in the chart. 61.3% of the respondents choose “Awesome! I like it.” It appears that the seed paper can bud. And 33.2% of the respondents choose “Interesting! But I cannot plant in the soil.” It shows that some respondents may not know anything about gardening, planting method, or have no time to grow and so on....

Q5: Someone plants seed paper in the soil. Do you think what’s their major motivation? As shown in the chart. 59.8% of th respondents choose “Environmentael friendly! I want to protect the Earth.” Many people think that the seed paper is friendly. It shows environmental consciousness in Taiwan. And 23.4% of the respondents choose “I am very curious to try it.” Some respondents think that they want to try seed paper for some reason. 13% of the respondents choose “Cool! I love new product!” A few people think that the seed paper is a novel product. It attracts people’s attention.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Q6: After understanding about the product, what do you think about it?

As shown in the chart. 48.4% of the respondents choose “It’s expensive!” Like the answer in Question 3, most respondents care about the price, no matter how old they are.If the seed paper is about to be promoted in Taiwan, the price of seed paper would be a threshold. Second, 21.7% of the respondents choose "Can it bud?" The respondents choose this option might be the reason they choose the optin “Interesting, but I can’ t plant it in the soil” in Question 4. Seed paper and other traditional planting is different, so some people will doubt of the effectiveness of seed paper. 15.2% of the respondents choose “Is it really environmental friendly?” Some people doubt the environmental protection of seed paper. This is because they do not understand seed paper. In questions number one, we learned that 87% of the respondents who did not know seed paper, which may lead the respondents to think that “Is it really environmental friendly?” The future promotion should be elaborated on the concept of "regeneration" of seed paper.

 

 

 

Q7: Some countries use seed paper as cards and have been popular for long time. There are five shops in Taiwan working on seed paper. What do you think of the development of seed paper in the future?

As shown in the chart. Respondents choose “If seed paper combined with education, I think that is good idea!” for 59.9%. And education is directly related to the age range,"13 to 22 years old" In the first few questions, the acceptance of the seed paper is high. If it is combined with education, students should be very easy to accept seed paper.Therefore, for the future generation, we should promote the new trend of environmental protection. Respondents choose “It can combine with business and become a creative product!” for 26.6%. This option is similar to the current market orientation of seed paper in Taiwan because of its high cost, unlike traditional papermaking techniques, which results in niche markets.
