In the beginning, not understanding how to start the project, we consulted the our previous teachers, Mr. Yang and Ms. Tsou, and asked for help. The teachers promised to help, then we began to work on the project. Now, I still remember that we just knew nothing about International CyberFair at that time! Through the process of investigation and online information collection, we not only understood the complex procedures of producing socks, but also learned how to assign homework of members and teamwork together to finish the project. With the help of teachers, although the project website was established finally, each step is not easy for us. In other words, we spent much more time beyond our imagination to learn , practice, and revise! No pain, no gain! Thanks for the teachers and team members. Without you, I cannot do it myself. By uniting our power, we can make it!

Hobby:Jogging and Reading

Nickname:Piggy

This is the first time for me to take part in CyberFair. Although hearing about that competition when I was just a junior high school student, I never figured out what it is and how to research a project focusing on the local specialities, leaders, organizations, and so on. I just thought that it would be wonderful if we could make some great works or win some prizes, so I made up my mind to join the team. To my surprise, except the difficulties of data collection and website construction, the researching process of the project was joyful and amazing. It is because we did many things we had never done before, especially the interview with Chairman Hsiao. In addition, it was my first time operating manual weaving machines older than me! With the project was accomplished, we have learned very much out of school . It was really a memorable experience!

Hobby:Playing video games and Bike riding

Nickname:Taro

To me, CyberFair was a great international competition in which I had never participated. Several months ago, when Chia-Yi and Yi-Chun asked me to join the team to to do some research about a certain project, I was very confused. That’s because I didn’t know if I could do it well. However, Mr. Yang and Ms. Tsou called us to computer classroom together someday, and inspired us to do this great job. I still remembered that Mr. Yang said “ We are a team, and you are not alone!” I just realized we could do something good to our hometown, Tianjhong. This is very important and meaningful. Our website of the project may be the key point to change the others’ impression to hosiery companies in Tianjhong. Although working very hard and spent much time researching, we enjoyed the process very much.

Name:Hsiao, Hsin-Yu

Age:Sixteen

Sign:Libra

Hobby:Reading novels and Watching korean dramas

Nickname:Dinosaur

Like other members of our team, this is my first to participate in CyberFair. During the period of researching, what I have learned are technique of building a website, data collecting and sorting, notes taking, and teamwork. For my part, although website building is the most difficult, teamwork is the most important. Because the opinions of members sometimes were different, how to combine all the opinions to one was a big problem! With the help of Mr. Yang and Ms. Tsou, to work on the project more more efficient, we were divided into two groups. The target of one group was to establish the website, and the aim of the other group was to collect materials. We also had meetings twice a week to discuss what we got and how to do next. After the discussions again and again, different ideas came to a compromise finally. We have done a great job together!

Hobby:Jogging and Mountain climbing

Nickname:None

In the beginning of working on the project, I was not sure if I could go on researching till it was finished because lacking self-confidence. However, when I knew that other members tried their best and spent much time researching, I was a little moved. So, I decided to give me a try! Besides, I learned very much from the story of Chairman Hsiao. “Filial piety” is a very important virtue in Chinese history and society. It is my belief that we should be filial to our parents when they are alive. Some youngsters often ignored that when they were young, but regreted when they were old later. It is a pity. In my opinion, maybe it was the Chairman hsiao’s filial piety to make him fulfill his kingdom of socks!
