Thread stitching was one of the methods to put the papers together to form a book. It was a important step in bookbinding, and it was a very important skill. There were many methods of bookbinding: the Son Style, the Ton Style, the Hard four Holes method, the Hemp Leave style, the tortoise shell style, and so on. Recently, the Son Style was more ordinary method and more popular for the people.

The teachers led us to go to the Chong Jin Penmanship to learn to write the calligraphy. Mr.Nian Wen Yi would direct us to write. In the working room, there were a lots of materials of making the thread stitches, the copier, the cutting machine, and the punching machine. It was just like a Print Factory .

The master also showed us the methods of punching the books. For cutting the books, there was a cutting machine. This was really amazing for making a book.
