Marketing Department

The main business of Marketing Department is to increase the hotel performance and improve customer satisfaction. It is an important department to bring Forte Hotel marketing to workers of tourism industry and tourists. The planning and programs, not only can bring considerable turnover to the hotel, but also bring many business opportunities to local industry. Marketing Department contains the following groups in accordance with their responsibilities:

1. Business Group

Main content of work includes:

(1) To maintain a good relationship with the relevant customers

(2) offer price

(3) attract business for the hotel

(4) sort statements

2. Public Relations Group

Main content of work includes:

(1) To inform customers with recent activities

(2) programs to increase the exposure of the hotel

Conversation with the Manager of Business Group and Ms. Yun-fang Li:

To review customer satisfaction

When customers reflect problems to the hotel, it should be improved. For instance, among 10 customers, 8 customers said dishes were too salty. The hotel should talk with the chef to put less salt in the dishes.

Why other hotels were often full of customers, while our hotel was not? We must do market research for this problem to listen to opinions and let assistants and site supervisors understand the cause and then deal with the problem.

Postscript

Salesman needed to have good foreign language ability and problem-solving ability. For example, Hong-yu Lin, the Director of Marketing Department, once worked at Chateau Beach Resort, and received NIKE visit group, which a lot of people dared not to receive. I might give up the group as other restaurants did. But Director Hong-yu Lin rushed to accept it, which was so admirable. I found that they listened to customers and tried to make improvement. They treated customers as family. And the hotel is the "home" away from home of customers.
