Three treasures from Kuanmiao
There are three treasures in Kuanmiao - bamboo, pineapple and noodles, but what makes them have such good reputations? The following are my explainations. Due to Kuanmiao’s unique soil and hillsides terrain, these conditions are perfect for bamboo’s growth. People not only utilize this material as a container but also cook bamboo for delicious foods. The history of noodles can be traced back to a hundred years ago. Back then, people put noodles under the sunshine to keep them for a longer time, and Kuanmiao is knowned for its scorching sunlight and hot winds. This unique environment make the noodles more chewy and elastic. Thus, the noodles become a famous product in Taiwan. Kuanmiao’s pineapple becomes the most famous fruit in Taiwan for several reasons. The quality of the fruit is flawless, because it is juicy, sweet and tasted delightful. The sunshine and unique soil are the main factors to make this fruit so perfect.  |
We would schedule field trips to pineapple fields every year.
Our students are rather happy here because we have a huge natural classroom beside the campus. These pineapple fields are next to our classroom, which is a perfect resource for environment learning. Therefore, we would schedule field trips to pineapple fields every year.
