Different species of dogs
In biology, there are many different species, we can categorize them by their shape and characteristic:
5 categories by shape:
1. Miniature: Weighs less than 4kg, height under 25cm, also known as pocket dogs. Some well know species such as, Chiwawa, Yorkshire terrier and Pomeranian etc.
2. Small dogs: Weighs up to 10kg, height under 40cm, also known as family dog. For example, Beijing dog, Shih Tzu, Maltese dog, Papillon, Pugs etc.
3. Medium sized dogs: Weighs between 11-30kg, height between 41-60cm. This category of dogs can be protective, for example, Bulldog, Boxer, Chow Chow, Hokkaido dog etc.
4. Large dogs: Weighs between 30-40kg, height between 60-70cm, for example
5. Supersized dogs: Weighs above 41kg, height over 71cm. For example, Tibetan mastiff, St. Bernard, Newfoundland, Afghan hound, Borzoi, Great Dane, Great Pyrenees.
5 categories by characteristic:
1. Lively dogs: These dogs are easily excited and agile, but easy to control, and are easy to train
2. Exited dogs: Easily excited and hard to calm, may need more time to calm it down during training.
3. Quiet dogs: Quiet, not easily excited, and can be harder to train.
4. Food attracted dogs: Stimulated easily by dogs, and can easily be controlled by food.
5. Fierce and combative: With its fierce personality, they are harder to control, and may need more controlled training.
