A dog’s feature

A dog can be seen everywhere, it is a very common animal, from books, we were told that dogs are domesticated by humans as long as 16000 years ago, but we still don’t know everything about dogs. Through our research, we hope that everyone can get more understanding towards a dog’s feature.

 

Dogs are like humans, have phenomenal ability in the sense of hearing and smelling, dogs have more developed teeth, which help them feast, but their eyesight’s not as accurate and as clear like a human, from our research, we found out that:

 

1.        Hearing: Dogs ears ability is 4 times better than a human ear, and as for vibration or ultrasound, they can hear at the level of 1 million hertz and can locate the source of the sound, which is much more powerful than a human ear.

2.        Sight: Dogs are short sighted compare to humans, and are color blind. They are unable to distinguish between different colors. Therefore they are very aware of their surroundings when they hear or sense anything around them.

3.        Teeth: Dogs have strong and sharp teeth, they have 42 teeth, which is 10 more than the human teeth, with different teeth responsible for different actions such as grinding, ripping, and cutting. Their teeth are capable of crushing large bones, but can also pick up puppies without hurting them.

4.        Smelling: Dogs are very sensitive to gases, their smelling ability is around 1 million times better than a human being. A trained dog can distinguish up to 100,000 different scents, which is why when a dog first meets someone or goes somewhere, they will get their scent, until they are familiar with it. For a dog, scent is its information.
