★Research Team
On September 17, 2015 the Research Club in our school began our first class of the academic year in the computer lab. Our goal is to participate in the 2016 International CyberFair. Our teacher, Ms. Yang, divided us into groups based on our skills and interests.
Although many of us were new to the CyberFair at first, our teacher took the time to explain the details of the competition to us. We learned that we must select one out of the eight categories listed by the CyberFair and decide on a research topic within that category. Upon selecting a topic, we would further our investigation through research planning, interviewing, surveying, analyzing data, photo taking for documentation, drafting the written content, and setting up a website. The purpose of the CyberFair is to introduce a noteworthy individual or an idea from our hometown to help people around the world learn about it.
From the sound of it, we quickly felt how challenging this project would be. However, looking through the work of the previous graduates, we grew more excited and confident. We decided that we would move forward with our research with perseverance in hopes of winning the highest honor for our school.
