Reflection and thoughts
Zhi-Rou Chen	Frustration I have encountered many frustrations in the process of participating in Cyberfair. One frustration impressed me the most was the time when we had to write activity process and review. Since I also participate in other schools teams and go to cram schools after school, I only had time to write review during the gathering hours for Cyberfair and I did not have any other time. However because the research was consistent and if we did not finish early, we would accumulate more later. Consequently I was not prepared to take such pressure and I worried that I could delay other’s progress. I even wanted to withdraw from the team. However I took a second thought and knew that if I had withdrawn, I would have one less change oc studying and why couldn’t I do it if all other people could? Just then I remembered the teacher often told us to manage our time well, so I have utilized sporadic time and tried to catch up with the progress. Now I am getting used to it and could catch the key points, which makes me really happy. Moreover the teacher taught us to use flash animation, but I did not understand the application and could easily make mistake during the operation, which also frustrated me. Fortunately I received some help from Yun-Zhen Li and I could complete the tasks with success. Those things may not have been good experience for us, and we have also learned a lot from these frustrations and received many benefits. Growth        I have grown a lot in this Cyberfair, regardless in computer related knowledge or attitude of handling things. This experience helped me to improve my writing ability and writing skills, as I could use more rhetoric terms while delivering one article more quickly and fluently.  I have grown substantially in language proficiency while treating the same thing with different attitude, looking at them from different perspective, and treating them with broader horizon. I could seriously and responsibly finish one thing. I am very fortunate to participate in this activity in my last year of elementary school as well as adding more colors to my elementary school life. I have also gained a lot of knowledge, developing more talents in me.
Kai-Tend Hou	Happiness In this Cyberfair, the thing that made my most happy was when we survey the site in the mountain and was picking turnip in the farm. The weather was extremely cold that day and we took the car for nearly half house. When we opened the door, the cold wind just ran inside my body and I could not help but trembled. Although it was cold, I was still really happy when I thought about how we were going to pick up the turnip. At the beginning I thought picking up turnip would take up much strength but because it rained that day, the earth became loose and soft, so picking turnip became really easy. This was the first experience for me in life and I thought it was really fun and interesting, which impressed me the most and the happiest day for me in all Cyberfair activities. Growth It is inevitable to write down all reviews for the preparation process of Cyberfair after the participation. There was once the journal content for each assembly was not as interesting and came with large portion. However after we participate until the last past, I realized the review and journal which we write has substantial help on our competition. From the records, I observed the concentration from the teachers and partners in the participation of this game.  I also see myself with more attention in this game. Whenever I had time, I would go to the competition website and our internal Google Site to see the works I wrote before. Although I have written a lot, the quality compared with other partners was not good enough while the content is not complete. I really appreciate the teacher for willing to let me participate in Cyberfair contest. I learned from this game to reflect on my own deficiency, learn to think of methods for improvement, solve the deficiency and that have made me learn a lot from the competition.
Yun-Zhen Li	Impedance The weather in Yangmingshan is always wet and cold, while the roads, trails or stone stairs are inevitably slippery and wet. We might have had some bad luck as there were sometimes when we went there, it was sunny but the roads were wet and slippery, which was kind of dangerous for walking. The reason for me to be afraid was because I was once hiking there and fell down from the web and slippery stone stairs. I heat my back and almost could not stand straight. I was so painful that I collapsed and burst into tears, which left me with some dark influence. Coincidentally the trails of Pingding ancient channel are all wet and slipper stone stairs, sometimes accompanied by wet mud. This really frightened me and I could not walk at all but worried that I could fall like last time. However my peers and the teachers comforted me, encouraging game to take one step out and cross this barrier. After walking three channels, this insignificant step may e easy for others but it was the most difficult step in life. I really appreciate the comfort and company of peers and teachers. I think I could never go hiking again in this life if without you. Growth I have learned a lot from this Cyberfair, particularly my writing. I used to write poor paper without imagination and dull. But now I can write lively and interesting articles, so everyone could just read into my paper and enter my world. Of course, I did not only make progress in writing as I have also change a lot in personality and attitude. I used to be lazy and always postponed things assigned by the teachers for few days before remembering and completing. I never do things which my mom tells me to do immediately. However ever since I joined the Cyberfair, I always turned in the things which the teachers assigned us for upload without having pushed by the teacher. I think this is the most significant growth in me.
Tong-Yu Xu	Learning I learned many software applications that I could not learn from the computer class through this activity, such as Flash for drawing images, drawing self-portrait by our heat-shot and using PhotoImpact for editing photos, design and analysis from Google Form, co-authoring in Google DOC. These applications will help me in making the various reports in the future. Moreover, I have learned things about Pingding Channel, acquaint with this first cultural asset officially registered as “Cultural Landscape,” giving a mission of inheritance. I would like to introduce Pingding ancient channel to more people and understand the importance of protecting this clean land left by predecessor. Cooperation The Cyberfair project research adopted team work and we often worked together to complete the different studies. For example, using Google DOC for co-authoring. Although there were some incidents when mice were mixed occasionally, it was because many people pointing their cursors at the same dialogue box and therefore it must be first agreed on which content of dialogue box the person is responsible for. In drawing the image mapping, we could have small argument due to the different opinions between two people. However after communication, they could still find a common method which they all accepted, in order to complete the tasks together. These details of cooperation helped each person of the team to develop more tacit understanding and cohesion. We all worked together and produce the project research seriously, where I truly perceived the “strong power of teamwork.”
Ding-Han Chen	Happiness I think we all had fun and learned many interesting knowledge in survey or activity after the interview. After joining the Cyberfair, I become fond of assembly or going out together to interview because whenever I feel frustrated or unhappy, as long as I come to Cyberfair, I would forget about everything. At Cyberfair, we could learn knowledge from playing while doing our duties right, so we always have fun in Cyberfair. I am really happy to have joined Cyberfair, particularly when I think back the much knowledge we have learned. For example, in our second survey, we met Teacher Wei-Ling Chen who introduced the different plants of Dengfong Channel and told us much information on plants and that he is an illustrator. I have experienced in things that I could not otherwise learn from the textbook and so I am really happy. Growth Ever since I joined the Cyberfair, I learned to look at things from different perspective and understand how to put myself in others’ shoes, and that I could not just look at the surface. I used to just do tasks assigned by the teachers but now I have learned to make it better. Everyone else is like me and has grown. In the process, the teachers have carefully instructed and even if we have not quite understood the content of certain article or certain program after many times of listening, the teachers were still patient and serious in explaining until we understood. I really appreciate the teacher’s instruction so that I could make progress and learn in all fields. I also know that I should never easily give up on things. There were times when I considered writing journal a trouble and wrote recklessly. Now I think writing journal is fun because a very good Cyberfair teacher has taught me so I could learn many things and write more and more. Writing journal is now not a trouble at all. Looking back the records of what we learned in the process, I found myself to be excellent in many things. I would like to thank all teachers of Cyberfair and those who have assisted us so we could  grow so much.
Hua-Zhen Xu	Lessons I have not only learned and understood many things from the activity as well as different lessons. I used to work on my own and did not know alternatives when I had problems. I usually discovered other more feasible and simpler methods at the end. Additionally, I could not make friends and often upset others with my words, changing the atmosphere surrounding me. Later I knew how to use simpler and convenient methods to speed up the completion of things I also learnt to improve my interpersonal skills and make friends with other people. These lessons have taught me to handle things better and get along well with others. Application After we learn things we want, the most important thing is to apply it. In case we need it in the future, we can then use it. In this activity, I have learned to apply Flash for painting and making animation, using PPT for making briefing, and using the powerful functions of Google to make many things such as notes, questionnaire, planning for itinerary routes, graphic storage…etc. Acquaint with tourism resources near home to plan routes using Google Map so to go out with family. You can also conduct a study using computer resources and produce briefing with PPT to report on the research outcome.
Wen-Xuan Pan	Learning In this Cyberfair activity, I have learned to use FLASH, GOOGLE FORM and POWERPOINT. I think the most difficult one was FLASH because it is complex and needs to be added with many layers. However it offers more tools than Paint and is more convenient, while producing more sophisticated products. So we use FLASH to make figure animation on the homepage, our figurine and ancient channel related drawing images. We drew images related to ancient channel, including bus, cherry blossom, dragonfly, and ladybugs. The teacher also taught us to use GOOGLE FORM, using co-authorizing and producing teacher and student questionnaire, analytical diagram, and summary of analytical diagram for conclusion. In the last 2 days of winter vacation assembly, the teacher taught us to use POWER POINT for making briefing and quiz contest, which were incorporated with the teacher’s key and photos to complete the briefing. Growth I have grown somewhat from each activity. For example, although I am still afraid when I get on stage to practice report, I would not be as shy and because the teacher let us practice Many times, I become more familiar with the content. The more we walk on the ancient channel, the more we get accustomed to the channel on one side with steep hill roads on the other side, so I no longer get afraid. Meanwhile I have learned to use computer application such as FLASH, GOOGLE FORM and POWER POINT. I also improved substantially on writing ability. I would like to thank the advisors and the instruction from Big Brother Lina and Leader Zhou from Chi-Sing Irrigation Association As long as we work hard, we will receive rewards and I also our months of efforts will be awarded with recognition.
Zi-Ting Ceng	Frustration In the process of producing the website, although I was always happy in participating in all activities, sometimes I would encounter frustration. I remember once when I was using Flash to draw self-portrait, I was about to draw everyone but I forgot to divide into layers so the entire image became a mess. Eventually I had to re-draw it. In spite of the frustration back then, I also learned to improve myself through these frustrations. From then on, I learned to become more cautious when I make one mistake and I will not make the same mistake next time. Learning method of improvement is one thing I learn from the Cyberfair and I have benefited substantially from learning the most important thing. Growth In this Cyberfair activity, I have learned most about responsibility. In the Cyberfair activity, we need to complete all tastk on time so for the assigned work by teachers, we all need to finish on that day. Because if we forget once so that we do not write the journal or review, it will be very difficult to make up for the supplement of all content later while the entire progress will substantially fall behind. After all, this is unlike regular assignment which we could make up later. Moreover I have also learned some magic software and that is one big step of growth. All of these are contributed to the careful teaching of teachers so that I could grow more knowledge on computer.
Kun-Hui Zhou	Difficulty The teacher told us that we will leave traces behind wherever we go/ To retain the memories and views of our activities, we started writing review and that was really difficult for me as I don’t write review well. At the beginning, my teacher constantly corrected me and asked me not to write ledger and I was really frustrated. Sometimes I would have too much worked accumulated because I was too busy to turn in my work. So I had to do my best and work overtime sometimes. However as I grew accustomed to it, I suddenly discovered that I could write articles with more focus and become more specific when I express my views. Sometimes I could propose different views from others. Once the teacher praised me for writing better and I was really happy about it. Breaking through writing review and the meaning of writing review pushed me to do my best instead of getting frustrated, and I might just turn difficulty into power. Growth I have grown the most in the spirit to find out the root case and attitude of responsibility from the participation in Cyberfair. I used to avoid or ask others to do for me whenever I encountered trouble or difficulty, and then I would not have to think. Even at the beginning of participating in Cyberfair, I thought that I just needed to stand aside and just followed others. I didn’t know that we had to express our opinions many times and could not leave problems side but need to solutions on our own. We also needed to cooperate with team progress without delay or postpone. So I could only request myself to do my best efforts and perfection. Every time I overcame the difficulty, I gained full pride and was surprised that I could also do things well. In this winter training, I could not attend it for one day because I had to go to the cram school for English. However the teacher told us that we all had to complete our progress so even though I still owed drawing and review, I spent one night to draw the image and asked my father to deliver to school. The review was completed on time after the teacher replied how to correct my writing. Even my parents praised me for being responsible and said that participating in Cyberfair has really helped me change. So I really appreciate this opportunity so I could grow.
Xin-Bei Lin	Lesson Although the process of preparing project report is mostly filled with joy and happiness, there are still some frustrations in laughter. For example, once we all fell behind in progress and the teacher was more frustrated than us and then told us that we needed to work on our journal more or else the efforts would have gone waste. In other times, we were busy playing around and did not catch up the progress for the day. The teacher had to push us and finally we accumulated too much work. I realized that we needed to finish the work for that day or else we will have piles of work and could not be trusted by other people. This project report has really instructed me with many benefits. Growth The reason why I use “growth” to represent my mood is because this is the first time I like to do something well. Unlike before that I only finished things without perfection. I always believe that I have done my best and would not continue to request myself with constant improvement. I now want to do my best. Just like what our homeroom teacher said: “Responsibility is more than completion but perfection.” In addition, I have also acquired new knowledge on computer software and skills, while upgrading my responsibility and writing. However these growths are only contributed to the advisors who trained us with best efforts and the Big Brother Lin and Leader Zhou from Chi-Sing Irrigation Association who companied us and explained ancient channel to us. I could only tell them “thank you.”
