Futian Farm

Located in Shilin district and adjacent to Yangmingshan Park, “Futian Educational and Recreational Farm” is an outdoor instructional Scenic that integrates recreation, education and experience in one.

The farm is hidden with rich and diverse animals and plants, serving as the most ideal place for observing and approaching the nature. The various DIY experience courses and visit to satellite technology put one at ease and enjoy such journey of knowledge.

Cherry Blossom Lane

The Cherry Blossom Lane on Lane 42 of Pingjin Street is a secret place for appreciating cherry blossoms in Yangmingshan in the last 3 years. The cherry blossoms thrive between every January and February.

The weather on  January 19, the day of survey, was quite cold but we were very lucky as there were already many cherry blossoms along the paths planted with cherry blossom. The teachers and we all took photos of cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms here were all low enough for us to take happy photos with the beautiful cheery blossoms.It was fortunate that the TV media has not reported when we viScenicd Cherry Blossom Lane or else it was said that it would be difficult to appreciate cherry blossoms in crowded days.

Zunzitou Nature Park

Pingdeng Village Zunzitou Nature Park was completed in July, 2014 and a new spot for Yangmingshan. The Zunzitou Creek still preserves the natural environment of field next to the creek. Walking into the Zunzitou Creek seems to take us travel through time and space to arrive to the ancient village life, where the old-time water mill allowed the public to experience the hardship of village acquiring water.

The Zunzitou Creek was redesigned and renovated with a brand new look, inheriting the local culture, sustaining the conservation of creek ditch ecology, integrating environmental education with life naturally, and combining Pingdeng Village Ancient Channel Trail, Pingjin Street Cherry Blossoms, and Pingdeng Village tourism fruit farms as well as other Scenics to provide the public with one-day recreation trip in Pingdeng Village.

Hecheng Temple

Hecheng Temple is located on Lane 106 of Pingjin Street, Taipei City, and the religious and belief Scenic for local residents in Pingdeng Village, enshrining Kaizhang Saint Emperor.
　

The day of survey was not only cold but also rainy. When we arrived to Hecheng Temple, classmate Xinbei worshipped with her hands and expected the weather to become nice without rain. To our surprise, the deity seemed to have heard our wish and miraculously the rain stopped after we left Hecheng Temple. We then picked turnip in the farm and harvested orange with success.

Jiali Tourism Farm

Jiali Tourism Farm is located on Pingjin Street of Yangmingshan, a self-growing and self-marketing tourism farm. On the day of Scenic survey, the teachers particularly arranged for us to visit here and he most exciting thing was that we could pick up the turnip in person. Under the guide of kind farmer, we all picked a giant turnip in person and we were so happy to take them home as souvenir.

Jitian Tourism Fruit Farm

There are quite a few tourism farms near Pingdeng Village however when we contacted them one by one via phone, we discovered that these farmers still suffered big loss and were under renovation after several serious typhoon invasion between August and September last year. Moreover, some farms are only open to the public during the season of vegetables and fruits in spring and summer.

Jitang Fruit Farm harvests peach in summer and spring time, where many foreign tourists would visit the farm and harvest peaches. During the time of our survey, it was the harvest season for Duzai Orange and we were all happy to pick the range. The teachers gave us three oranges per person as the souvenir for today’s survey.
