5-2 Classical Music and Local Culture

In order to promote Hakka and popular music and encourage more music compositions, Kaohsiung City government utilizes “Hakka Music” event to promote Hakka’s culture, and to encourage diverse music combination for music innovation and creative works. It is also the government’s endeavor to make Kaohsiung City the basis of “Hakka-pop music” in Taiwan.

“Happy summer Festival” is one of the major classical music events during the summer time in Kaohsiung City. This Festival is composed of a variety of high quality stage performances, concerts, and dances by several top-notch performers groups, clubs and non-government organizations. Through the stage performances, people can experiences the beauty of arts and then learn to appreciate the beauties of diverse cultures.
