The entrance of Maokong Crossing trail in front of cable station, the traffic is very convenient, when you see the Loving Cats then step on stairs to upward, then will arrive at the entrance of trail, there is a pavilion with 1 core 2 leaves shape, there are many snack shops, to enjoy a delicious tea flavor ice cream before go further.

Just on the trail, there are sweet-scented osmanthus trees like green tunnels greeting to us, we visited there in January, it’s not the seaon of osmanthus in fall, but there are still osmanthus bloosom with light fragrnce, walked along and thinking of textbooks Qi Jun "osmanthus rain", one of her father's poem: "Children understood the fun of shaking flowers, the sweet dream because of colorful flowers", we walk under the sweet-scented osmanthus plexus, sometimes the sweet-scented osmanthus falling down, it seems a bit fun of shaking osmanthus!

During the Maokong trails, the Maokong Crossing trail is relatively hard, since walk from Maokong cable station, it’s uphill all the way, but the Laurel trees along the way, the scenery is very beautiful in the constant tea plantation, smell of flowers and look the trees is a kind of quiet

The ecology is very rich even it is winter, tthere are still a lot of insect on roadside, coupled with rich fern, Taiwan Cyathea and pen fern, the maidenhair fern on feet, kidney fern, Pteris, as well as such as Tung trees and laurel with rich shade, so there are many species of spiders, you can see a large human face spider.

In the middle of the trail, there is a viewing platform, you can rest and enjoy the scenery, the wide vision, there is a minaret type pavilion, set in the forest, just take a rest and enjoy the fresh air of mountain.

I Recommend the Maokong uphill trail, because of after a hard uphill, you can get a nice Taipei view.
