The Ancient Tea trail is one of the ZhiNan hiking trails (Tea Road, Dragon Trail and Zhanghu Trail) as known as SanXuan Temple, one of the representative trails, it is said that this Ancient Tea Trail is the only way that farmer to transport teas thru the plantation to downtown, this was the only channel for transportation, so the trail is very important.

It’s very convenient to walk the Ancient Tea Trail, the entrance of the tails next to cable car station, it’s closer than camphor trail. The Ancient Tea Trail currently keep the section between Cable Station & ZhiNan School, it’s around 1 hour by walk, thru ShiPoKeng Bridge nearby ZhiNan school. On this trail, along with explanatory signs which introduce knowledge about tea, let us walk it on while thinking about the process of tea shipped predecessors, while also a better understanding of the history of tea and tea process, in addition, along the road there are bamboo forest and tea plantation with reminisence.

The Poem "Picturesque ShiPo pit, listening to songs from ladder farm, the mountain farmers have ample foods and clothes, planting bamboo, tea and oranges, Zhanghu without difference between ancient and current moon, the people and thingsl vicissitudes from old becomes new." At the entrance nearby ShiPoKeng , there is a explanatory signs mentioned this poem, it’s easily understand well even we are 6th grade of student, and better to appreciate this Zhanghu tea culture & history from this poem..

Transportation:
To visit Ancient Tea Trail can be from the trail aside of Maokong station to downhill, or from the entrance nearby ShiPoKeng Bridge which by the side of ZhiNan school then uphill.
