About 70% of the earth’s surface is covered by ocean. As water is an indispensable part that life is constituted of, it is of great significance to our daily life. Not long ago, however, mankind has created plastics that cannot be decomposed easily. Once deserted, it begins its journey far away into the ocean. Marine animals take it as food and then swallow it little by little. These animals become ill and eventually die. That’s why we choose marine debris as our topic for this Cyberfair project. We want to draw people’s attention on protecting our environment and earth. Chances are there will be more individuals who want to be engaged in ocean protection and coastal cleanup, and reduce the debris in the ocean gradually.
