Lulu’s, one of our members, grandma came from Da Chen. There is also a special exhibition in memory of the 60th anniversary of the Da Chen Retreat. We finally decided to do a research on Da Chen. The teachers offered us the data to draw the Mind Maps. |

We went to the Wu He New Village last week. The village was a maze of narrow alleys.
The teacher asked when we can visit my grandma and her cousin, who both came from Da Chen. The visit will benefit our research. |

On Sunday, we went to the Wu He New Village. It’s a pity that Zhou’s Sticky Rice Cake wasn’t open on the weekend. Then, we went to the activity center. It was shabby. There was a small stage on the first floor. We also saw many old pictures on the second floor. There was a bronze statue of Chiang Kai-Shek on the third floor.
We walked to the municipal library and found one book about Da Chen. There was a Guanyin temple next to the library.
We had lunch at a Jianzhe restaurant. We ordered shrimp fried rice, Da Chen sticky rice cake and ginger rice noodles. Then, we made an appointment with the owner of the restaurant. We wanted to ask her about the Da Chen food. |

It took us 4 periods to have the demo class of the beading embroidery. We used the ribbon, pailettes and beads to make ribbon flowers. First, we sewed the pailettes to make the petals. Then, we sewed the bead in the middle of it.
