There are many good foods in Tianmu, and the features of these foods are the various specialties of different countries. After a discussion, we decided to vote for a store we wanted to visit and taste. We finally made the decision to visit the newly opened branch of Nagi Ramen Shop in Tianmu. This ramen shop has attracted crowds and caused a commotion ever since opening day. We can see long line up of people in front of the store during mealtime. After negotiation, we appreciated Nagi Ramen Shop accepting our visit and interview, and being willing to show us their ramen production in kitchen. Here are the afterthoughts from our team members.

                    Reflections

Chian-chian:

Iordered ramen in pork soup. The ramen was especially chewy. I ate one bite by another and could not stop. The taste of soup was different from the one in other Taiwanese restaurants. The soup was very rich, and smelled great. The best part was the barbeque pork. They cut with a meat-by-meat cutter, so each piece of meat was in the same thickness. The meat was not too hard. The employees were very polite and neat, and the store was clean. They even gave us extra food since my friend and I shared one bowl. They wanted to make sure we had enough to eat!

Jie-fu:

Wewent to Nagi Ramen Shop today. The manager, Ms. Huang told us: “Nagi means a wicked and wild wind suddenly comes to a calm place.” So they hope lots of customers could come to their store. One big guy came to take our orders. He told us that they offered Pork Soup, Vegetable Soup, Red Soup, Black Soup, and House Special Soup. They offered different ramen in the House Special Soup every week, and only served 100 bowls every week. We went inside to watch how they made ramen after we ordered. He boiled ramen, and we helped add vegetables. I was very curious since I was not familiar with ramen. After ordering my ramen, I could not wait to taste it, since I wanted to know if the evaluation on internet was real or not. My order came out the last, so I did not have enough time to finish it, but I felt it was delicious.

We went to Nagi Ramen Shop today, and learned many stories and origin about Nagi. Ms. Huang and Louis led us to experience the activity. We learned that one bowl of ramen requires a lot of time and manpower to accomplish. I ordered ramen in pork soup today. The taste was very thick, and the ramen and pork were very chewy. The most attractive part was their soup. The soup was stewed with porcine cartilage for 8 hours, so it was very rich. They meticulously picked all ingredients. The vegetables were fresh, the soup was rich, the meat was tasty, the ramen was plenty, and it was very delicious. Anyway, I strongly recommend this stop, and you should give it a try. By the way, you should come and try House Special Soup first.

We were going to Nagi Ramen Shop today to visit andinterview the employees in the shop. We got together at the IT room of second floor at school at 2 pm, and left for Nagi Ramen Shop at 2:40 pm. When we arrived at the shop, a person yelled a Japanese sentence loudly, and then all employees followed him to yell the last word of his sentence. Ms. Huang first introduced to us that their store name Nagi means whirlwind. She then introduced Louis to us, and asked him to take our orders. We went to line up and picked ingredients for our own ramen. I was the last one. Louis gave each of us a pack of ingredients of the House Special Soup. I appreciated their warm introduction, and hope you can come and try delicious Nagi ramen too.
