Initially, Ju Ming acquired the land in Jin-shan only to store his large sculptures. He then soon realized that these sculptures stood out particularly well in a natural setting, so he decided to build a museum. With the aspiration to create the largest artwork in his career, Ju Ming was personally involved in both design and execution of the whole project. After 12 years of effort, on Sept. 9th, 1999, the Juming Museum took its place in the art and museum history of Taiwan. Nowadays, the Juming Museum is not only the largest outdoor art museum in Taiwan but also provides a unique venue for modern art.
Every year, the Juming Museum selects and sponsors one resident artist and helps the artist to plan exhibition in different venues. It has opened a 200-meter Art Corridor, choosing several young artists to produce their work on site. It not only provides young artists a chance to showcase their talent but also helps the public understand the artists and their work better.

 After being open only 1 year, the Juming Museum became the first in the art community in Taiwan to win the overseas Prize at the Tokyo Creation Awards. They declared that “Juming Museum is a creative art space in the 21st century that heals people’s minds by conversation with the sky, the mountain and the sea.” |

 In the evening party to mark the 2nd anniversary of the museum, the founder, Ju Ming, donated a large new work “Taichi Series─Taichi Arch” to the museum as a present. This large-size “Taichi Series─Taichi Arch” is not only the perfect ending for Ju Ming’s Taichi Series; it is also a symbol of the Juming Museum’s resolution to move forward against all odds.

| Although the Juming Museum possessed limited resources, it was committed to the development of art education by organizing courses, competitions, symposium, conference and art cultivation in countryside. Thus Juming Museum won the prize of “Developing social Education Award” from the Ministry of Education and New Taipei City Government. The Council for Cultural Affairs praised the Juming Museum for what it had achieved in 3 years have reached international standard, the fundraising and art education in school system are admirable. It has a professional outlook and scope, with much room for growth. |

| Since most of the exhibits in the museum are outdoors, the maintenance costs are huge. At least NT$7 million were needed for related costs every year. On the 3rd anniversary of its founding, the Juming Museum held a large fundraising program, with the proceeds going to a fund to maintain the collection. This consisted of a moon light music concert to which famous musicians were invited. It was very significant occasion as it was the first ever musical performance of its kind to be held in an art museum. |

| To establish a complete and comprehensive art education space, the Juming Museum and the Art Education Development Centre of the Graduate Institute of Museum Studies of Fu Jen Catholic University have been cooperating in a long-term plan entitled “ACE Art Teachers Program” (A/art, C/curriculum, E/education). By using the abundant resource of Juming Museum, they hope to assist the teachers of local elementary schools with strategies and method of teaching in order to implement courses in the “art and humanities”. |

| The Juming Museum proposed the idea of “Children Volunteer Service Club”, and then formed the first children volunteer group in Taiwan based on the idea of developing children art education. At first the trainees were primary students at the 4th and 5th grade in Chin-shan and Wan-li district. By playing the role of “Volunteer tour guide”, they guided the tours to experience the charm of the museum. |

 Juming Museum and Taipei Astronomical Museum have jointly held night opening. The night opening brought everyone to the Taichi Square at the Juming Museum to gaze at the stars and enjoy the different view from that of the daytime. |

| “Living World Series—Armed Forces” is a Series of work which Ju Ming took 4 years to complete. The installation and action elements of such large-size sculptures are allowed to fully materialize, only because of the spaciousness of the museum, as well as the museum’s crucial administrative support. |

| To improve the guide system, the museum cooperate with Taiwan mobile company the build a mobile phone guide system, so that the visitors are available to use their own mobile phones to listen to the artwork information. Much of the material in the audio guide is recorded by Ju Ming himself. |

| A forum for children art educators established and to maintain a vigorous discussion on Taiwan art education and related topic in Juming Museum. |

 The restoration center established, this has been outfitted with specialized restoration equipment and staffed by trained workers, to build up professional organization. Aside from establishing a strategic plan for restoration at the museum, the restoration center also provide a maintenance service for other Ju Ming’s works that do not belong to Juming Museum. It also provided an arterial database for Ju Ming’s works and studies of them. |

| Every Saturday night there was free opening to visitors this summer, within 10 weeks, the museum attracted over 30 thousand visitors. In the last summer night, there were 4 thousand visitors crowded into the museum during 3 hours from 6.30pm to 9.30pm which broke the record of the museum and what an incredible ending for the summer night opening! |

| Children Art Experimental Exhibition Area inspired by the curation concept, the museum used 4 elements: “wind”, ”water”, ”light” and ”soil” to present alterative art style. The first exhibition was held at Ximen elementary school, the topic was “material/construction-wind”. As for “water” was performed at the small pool of Chenfu elementary school, with interaction flow show to inspire visitors considering the “relation between human and nature””the myth of Taiwanese natural education”. The “light” exhibition was based on the purity of light to play with the art of “shadow” and experience the transform of light, the distance and space impression. The location was at Miqua elementary school of Bali district, through the performance of Shadow puppet play and paper-cut art. In the long run, “soil” led visitors to experience the character of soil and act in the farm of Tonshan elementary school in Shizu district. |

 Scientists’ party in the garden was carried out, the Living World Series-Scientists went on the stage. There are totally 11 pieces, with the atmosphere of leisure and with artwork and nature view, this area was named “Science Area”. |

 10 years anniversary, new artworks of Living World Series─Swimming were presented to the public on the day, with interesting feature and high challenge of technique, Ju Ming reveals the now idea and new skill through those stainless steel creation. |

 Step by the successful “Ju Ming Taichi Sculpture Exhibition” in Beijing 2006, in the July of 2010, Ju Ming demonstrated 30 huge sculptures of Living World Series. The artworks were created from 1930 till current day entirely reviewed the development of Living World Series. Along with the large exhibition, the new proposal of works “ Living World Series Imprisonment” was also previewed to the public. |
| Proceed after “ the exhibition of Ju Ming Taichi Sculpture Exhibition” in 2006 at Time square in Hong Kong, “the exhibition Ju Ming in Hong Kong 2010” held at Chung-hwan trading square and Chi-di Square to display the Living World Series─Swimming. Juming Museum indicated Living World Series─Swimming is the second time for Ju Ming to use stainless steel on a large-scale of artworks. He used bronze casting to replace the twist of the stainless steel rather than destroy the publishing surface of stainless steel as usual. |

| The exhibition held in Juming Museum “ Let will be set on duty and joy be found in art ” on 2010/06/26 to present the feeling between Ju Ming and his two teachers as well as the transformation of artworks and style in different stages through the display of artworks, draft, letters and photos. Meanwhile the design draft and model of Juming Museum by Ju Ming himself 12 years ago also exposure to the public the first time to show the complete artistic path of Ju Ming. |

| The “Material Language 2013-Plastic Petroleum Age” was an exhibition of invited artists, they are Tang Tang Fa, Chung Hui-lin, Huang Lian-ya, Liu Je-Rong, TAI Su-Chen, Long Shian-jung. They are good at the research and ideas to speculate the issues of extended material and the trait of material shaping. The exhibition divided into “ material X issue” and “material X shape”. |

| The most aged public museum in the history- Ashmolean Museum of Ox Ford University collects formally Ju Ming’s artwork “Taichi Series─Taichi Arch” at the British time of 11 o’clock 11th November, 2013. The length of the artwork is 265 cm, width 204 cm, height 365cm, completed in 2000. |

| Prepared for 5 years, the global tour exhibition of Ju Ming’s Living Worls Series sculptures “Ju Ming─Sculpting the Living World”, launched on 28th Feb. 2014, initial on stage in Hong Kong with the subject of “Sculpting the Living World” for display the Living World Series which made of wooden, pottery, bronze, stone and stainless steel in 182 pieces of sculptures. It is the first time to present the whole Series such a large scale in 30 years. |
