Afterthoughts of the teachers

Teaching is an interactive, fun-packed odyssey that allows dialogue among the participants. I’m astounded by the way in which children were able to exploring their potentials under the guidance of their teachers. The children are becoming more proactive and improving learning abilities. The Luffa Vanguards of Tin Shing Elementary are just exceptional! We will cherish this moment of working through thick and thin. Let us always remember our wonderful teamwork.

Supervising participating students in the Cyberfair project for the first time was a brand new challenge for me. It was tremendously difficult guiding students through systematic research, all the while accompanying them through their growth. Thanks to the support of Teacher Lai and the school’s administrative staff, we were able to succeed in this project. Participating in the research process was a wonderful opportunity for me to learn and grow as well.

It’s amazing! From looking back at the process of leading children in this Cyperfair project, starting from scratch to brainstorming and eventually establishing “luffa” as the subject of our research.  It was full of surprises. Many children almost gave up when difficulties surfaced. But with our encouragement, we were able to overcome the hurdle. We fought a good fight! Kids, we the teachers are proud of your performance.

It was my first time teaching students how to make webpages. I had to explain many specific terms and it took me plenty of time. Surprisingly, the students were used to it immediately and they asked when they had questions. Although they needed assistance in many areas, I still recognized their growth. Some paintings were drawn by the students, and they put them on webpages after taking the pictures. We had a sense of achievement after seeing the results.
