I am Yu-hsien Hou. I got to know about the Spring Flower when participating in the Cyberfair project. It is a handcraft that is now a lost tradition. We decided to introduce it and took a practical training lesson from a master.

In addition to the lesson at the master's place, we traveled to Xizhou to exchange experiences with the master's students, a group of people at various ages who enjoy making the Spring Flowers for leisure. We had a good time exchanging experiences. I've learned a lot in the Cyberfair project.

I am Chih-yu Yang. I've never heard nor known about Spring Flowers until participating in the Cyberfair project.

At first, I thought it was difficult when watching the master working on the Spring Flowers, but soon I realized it wasn't as hard once I started making my own. Patience was the key. Besides, the master was very helpful when we had problems. Thanks to the Cyberfair project, without it I wouldn't know the meaning of Spring Flowers. I also appreciated the master teaching us to make Spring Flowers. I wish the traditional handcraft could be passed down.

I am Yi-shan Kuo. I didn't know much about the Entangled Flower. Since less and less people make the craft, it's rarely known now. The master told us people used to wear the Entangled Flowers in wedding ceremonies.

The demonstration made the task look simple and I quickly made one, but the work came out uneven and dull. The master encouraged us to do it with more patience. Although my work didn't look as pretty as the master's, I was satisfied with it because it was my first one. I'll save it for memory.

When arriving at the master's house in the afternoon, we saw thread, pins, scissors, wires, glue and other tools on the desks.

We started to make the craft after the master's instructions were given. Each one took a thread, cut a lip-shaped paper, and gathered a small piece of foil... It was so gorgeous when the red and gold colors interwove! I was anxious to finish, but I ruined my work. The master taught me perfect work requires a lot of patience.

I joined the Cyberfair project and learned a handcraft that got lost in time. It used to be popular in the early days but people rarely know it today. Therefore, we chose it for the theme and learned to make them too. The materials of the Spring Flower are easy to get. As long as you know the skill, you will be able to make a beautiful Spring Flower. Through the experience, I've learned a lot and met many friends who like the craft.

I was amazed when I arrived at the master’s house and saw various beautiful and colorful works and materials on desks. During the lesson, we chose our favorite color and gold foil, and followed the instructions to entangle the craft with a wire. The demonstration was fast and looked simple, but I made a mess in my rush. When I asked for help, the master told us beginners couldn’t do it quickly because a pretty work required patience.

I am Yu-fang Huang. The Spring Flower is the theme of the Cyberfair project this year. I didn’t know it was a handcraft when I first heard about the Spring Flower. It has become less common, and many don’t know about it. Through Director Bing-fu Shih, I realized that Spring Flowers used to be worn in wedding ceremonies! The director promised us to bring us to see a master of the handcraft. I was very excited and looking forward to it.
