Feedbacks from Our Team Members

Zhang Jiun-Ying

We now know that bricks have different appearances, and they have become a special sign of community, too. We obtain a lot of knowledge about bricks, and we also learn that making bricks is our Taiwanese art. Hence, we should keep it carefully for the next generation.

Chen Yi-Yun

I feel very freshed to participate in the Cyberfair for the first time. Bricks not only can be restrained in rectangular shape to build houses, but also can become a new form of art to shape the characteristics and life of culture if we have more creativity.

Shen Ya-Fang

Now I am attracted by everything about the bricks, and I hope this traditional and artistic industry won't disappear and more people will be willing to get close to understand it.

Lin Wei-Ting

Before joining this project, the brick was a strange thing for me. But I learn a lot after I visited the brick kiln. The brick isn't only for the buildings. The brick can be used in many other ways. I am really impressed.

Huang Yu-Jiun

After visiting the brick kiln, I learned a lot during the process. I recalled the moment when I got to the brick kiln workshop for the first time. At that time, I just knew nothing about bricks. But after Ms. Zhang¡¦s explanation, I realized that bricks are so interesting and useful in our daily life.

Huang Shih-Han

When doing this project, I learned many things which I can't learn from books. For example, we discussed with each other when deciding the topic. Then, we had to collect useful information from books and the Internet. Even more, we had to do the interview and make the project website. All of these skills I learned from this project are the key to success. I am glad that I joined this project.

Huang Jing-Yuan

I am glad to learn new things and work with friends as a team. It is really a valuable experience to me.

When doing the project, we understood that making bricks was not as easy as we thought. Even a common thing comes from hard work. And I really gained a lifelong and unforgettable experience from this project.

Wu Shiang-Hao

After visiting the brick factory, I found that it wasn¡¦t easy to make a brick. It requires creativity and professional skills to sculpture delicate work, and give it a new life.

Chang Yung-Chih

I hope, through this project, our local century-old brick kiln culture, red brick story and the beauty of the Brick Arts can be known by more people. Also,we hope that the public can realize that the brick industry had combined traditional materials with modern elements for new products. People may not have noticed, but indeed, hard bricks are now getting closer and closer to our life.

Yang Wan-Ping

The bricks were used to build houses before. But now, with our ingenuity, we can change the bricks into beautiful brick lanterns, environment-friendly calligraphy practice bricks, and interesting mini-bricks. I hope that the bricks can be handed down forever.

Lin Shin-Yi

From the project, I learned that bricks can be used not only to build a house but also to make some red brick art. It's really a brand-new experience for me.

Li Jia-Rong

I have learned a lot from this activity. I have learned how to work with my classmates. Moreover, I used to think that bricks were out of date, but now I have changed my mind. Bricks are more than just materials for buildings. They are also used as art works.

Tsai Wei-Jan

It took me a long time and quite a lot of brainstorming when I try to arrange all materials to complete our report. I want to thank my teacher for giving me this great opportunity to experience the spirit of teamwork. I did learn a lot from it.

Tsai Ji -Shian

Our international network of community groups visited "Shunda brick kiln factory", and I was responsible for taking pictures. I like bricks because they are useful and functional. Before being put and burned in the kilns, any modification of the bricks is possible, and they are truly very innovative materials.

Xiao Deng-feng

In the process of doing the International Cyberfair project, our teacher took us to Shunda brick factory to learn more about different kind of bricks. All of our team members devoted ourselves to this project. We really tried our best to do this research project. What we all agree is completing this hard work in the limited time is not an easy job. But, we really make it.
