Research Motivation
Coincidentally, we heard that there was a newly-opened restaurant called “Friends of Mr. Cat” in Neihu District. It is said to be an American style restaurant with theme of cats. Since we had only been to some restaurants with the theme of dogs, we wondered how it would look like. So, we decided to go there and check it out.The moment we got there, we saw the main character “Mr. Cat” - - a real cat! As we enjoyed the delicious food there, we couldn’t help asking why the owner decided to open a restaurant with a theme of cat. The owner was a very nice person. He started to explain the whole story. Gradually, we were attracted by the mysterious world of cats. We started to explore the world of cats in our community and wanted to share the facts we’ve learned. So that people will see the charm of cats and realize what we can do for this special kind of animal, and for our beloved community. This Global Schoolnet exhibition offers us a great chance to explore a topic we seem to be familiar with but actually not know well.
Sometimes we just don’t pay enough attention to the things around in our daily lives. However, there are just so many for us to care about and realize. Since Internet is the easiest, the most interesting, and the most convenient way for people to get knowledge. We want people to understand cats and never abandon them mindlessly. They should be well taken care of, and be well protected. It is not only cruel to abandon cats but also causes environmental problems in our community. Things are done wrong initially and the outcomes will also be wrong. We want to stop this vicious circle with our feeble strength. We hope people can understand that cats are adorable and understandable through our research, so that people will help create an animal friendly community in the end.
