I loved to work with my team members          Rebecca
My classmates and I started this research project competition by selecting an appropriate topic. At the very beginning, we had discussed several topics for a long time, but we could not agree with the same one. Originally, our teacher, Ms. Yang, suggested “The Water Quality of Wu-Chung River”, while Alex proposed “Din Tai Fung” to be our topic. Finally, we all agreed that “Din Tai Fung” was an interesting topic for our research project.
During the researching process, we visited the Din Tai Fung Restaurant several times and interviewed the owner and many staffs. We even had a wonderful internship experience in the restaurant. Also, we had an opportunity to visit the central kitchen. When we visited their kitchen and restaurants, they generously and kindly treated us a lot of delicious meals. Every time we visited there, we not only enjoyed tremendous mouth-watering food, but also obtained many interesting stories about Din Tai Fung.
However, it was inevitable to face some difficulties during the research process. These difficulties were part of our learning, and we needed to learn how to effectively solve the problems. For example, the conflicts between team members, delayed assignments from other groups, inappropriate English translations in our writing, etc. Most importantly, I learned a lot from resolving these problems which I normally would not be able to learn from books.
So far, my favorite part of this project was the internship in the restaurant, where we served the students from Ci-Sain Elementary School. This was a very unique and unforgettable experience in this research project. I loved to work with my team members, and I believed this could be a great memory at Kong Chiao Bilingual School!
