Everything was valuable          Alex Lin
When we were choosing the topic of our research project, I definitely voted for Din Tai Fung because one of my favorite restaurants in Taiwan was Din Tai Fung. I always wondered why they could have such thoughtful and sophisticated services in their restaurants. I was excited that I could use this opportunity to discover the legend of Din Tai Fung.

When I practiced being a waiter, I had difficulties to memorize all of the meals and ingredients in the menu. Fortunately, Ms. Yang didn’t ask us to memorize all the meals, so I simply remembered the meals I was going to introduce to the students from Ci-Sian Elementary School.

Beside the internship experience, we also interviewed the owner of Din Tai Fung, Mr. Yang, and some other staffs.  We visited their kitchens and restaurants several times. Although some tasks in this project were tough, everything was valuable. I hope I could have more opportunities to do this kind of project in the future.
