What is Algal Reef
Algal reef has the nature of plants, formed by red algae, green algae and calcareous algae by cementation, calcification, and the deposition of calcium carbonate.

Originally, we still worried about Baosheng community contact information, if we called directly , it seems to be slightly awkward, so we left a message on─ Council for Cultural Affairs Taiwan community, hoping that the community could help us understand algal reefs all more, and the Director Mr. Liu also readily promised us. Although we were nervous to the telephone contact, but with the increase of the number of meetings, replaced with the community sense of identity and intimacy, we also trained up emotions with the chairman and the director as teachers. Introducing algal reefs, they also made us understand the ecological changes around and near the threats of pollution, it made us determine to complete the project—We must to guard it!
Our visit was the first time we met; we were really nervous and shy, after all, chatting with an elder for almost an hour is not an easy thing. So as to get a closer to the community, we also participated in Baosheng Community's beach cleaning service.

In order to make the questionnaire, we went to the Yong An fishing port to visit for an hour. At first, we sent out five questionnaires. When we arrived in the Green Corridor ,we would like to continue to issue, but everyone had been riding a bicycle , it were not convenient, so we just rode a tandem bicycle survey the terrain. I discovered that there are algal reefs in Yong-An fishing port, too. However, we wandered back and forth for five hours and returned the bike. However, how to do with the rest of the questionnaire? We had no choice but taking the bus to Chungli, then walked down to the SOGO Department Store. We would like to find a crowded place where is easy to succeed, and went to the stores in the department store to send out questionnaires, but we were asked to go out five minutes later. After all, people also have to do business. While feeling that our confidence was hit and very frustrated, but we also learned a lesson that we should notice the courtesy. Collecting the questionnaires, we discovered that who received the questionnaire were a student, a teacher or the elderly, 30 to 50-year-old female, is the main refuse population, perhaps in a hurry! Finally, because of the lack of time and human resources, we had no choice but to ask the students for survey in school. But thinking about it a week later, if next time we have the opportunity, we still want to challenge ourselves to train from germination to thrive!
