When we were discussing about the topic for Web Expo Competition, Smangus was not the first priority in our options. We finally decided to pick Smangus was because we were told it’s a fun place we could hang out for.
For preparing the competition, we collected the relevant information regarding into Smangus. We read papers with teammates and wrote summaries together. Sometimes we felt it’s difficult to understand the papers, but sometimes we found it’s interesting. After reading all the papers, we paid a visit to Smangus on a beautiful weekend.
It was really a wonderful place with natural forests and a borigines. We were split to three teams to visit their general manager, governors and priests regarding to their history, tribal customs, organization and religion. They were so nice to tell us about Smangus and even showed us how to compare medicine leaves with others.
We spent several weeks to compile what we heard and saw in Smangus after we came back to school. It’s not an easy task. After that, I found that my writing is getting better, and even faster now.
When we finished all the articles in Chinese, we needed to translate them to English. It was not an easy job for us, although we have being learning English since kindergarten.
The last part was to work on the animation of the website. It was difficult, because a lot of special effects were required. We finished it finally!
I quite enjoyed thebitter and sweet during the preparation for Web Expo regarding to Smangus. I wish we can win the prize.
