Survey on Smangus Residents’ opinions on “Co-operation mode”

Goal: To understand Smangus residents’ recognition for “Co-operation mode”.   On Questionnaire: This survey is conducted during our first visit to Smangus, we took a random encounter survey, which is we interviewed every tourist we met ( excluding our interviewees). We have completed 20 questionnaires, while there are only 29 households in Smangus. We are confident that this survey represents the opinion of majority.

Analysis on Questionnaire:

According to the data, we found that most of the people had participated in the co-operation mode for more than 5 years.

(1) Most of the people in Smangus work as a cook or guide; business or repair is second; only a few people work as a cashier or in religion. (2) In Smangus most of the cooks and cashiers are women, and the other work categories are mostly men. A person needs to have two jobs.

According to the data, we found that people believe the co-operation mode has helped Smangus’s economy.

Most of the people in Smangus like their work very much. Only one person said he wants to change his work.

(1) Most of the people in Smangus think the tribal convention is consistent with the spirit of Gaga. (2) Because all the people in Smangus think the tribal convention is consistent with the spirit of Gaga, the tribal convention has been very easy to implement in Smangus.

According to the data, we found that all of the people in Smangus would choose the co-operation again. We are very curious about the man in question 1. He said he was currently not in the co-operation mode but in this question, he said he would choose the co-operation mode. Why doesn't he participate in the co-operation mode now?

(1) Most of the people think the co-operation mode has been most helpful for the cohesion of the tribe. (2) There are also many other things the co-operation mode changed that the people think is good.

According to the above survey, we found the residents thought that the common business model of the Atayal culture is the most helpful. It enhanced the quality of nature conservation and tourism.

The conclusion seems to have a little gap, as the tourists and visitors show the impact of the Atayal culture as a part at least. We hypothesized that most of the tourists may be a common business model of the so called start with us as the "Tnunan" common business model including the communist system. But we do not know "Tnunan" implied in fact thousands of years of Atayal culture Gaga spirit, so we feel obligated to take Zhongxinsixiang introducing the Atayal culture and Tnunan Smaman Gaga their meaning.
