Before the road of Smangus village was built, Smangus people planted mushrooms, glossy ganoderma and Anoectochilus Formosan Hayata to earn a living. Since the discovery of huge trees and the road to Smangus village was built, many people came to Smangus. So B & B became an important income of Smangus village.

To build a B&B, it took land and money. Most people in Smangus village couldn’t afford buying land. So some people weren’t better off after the road of Smangus village was built. Therefore, some B&B did make money while some didn’t.

This resulted in more conflict in Smangus village, making it not peaceful as it used to be.
