Geese, is considered the first domesticated poultry, it comes from the wild cygnoides, or grey goose. Chinese domestic goose comes from cygnoides, the European domestic goose are from grey geese.
Biologist Charles Darwin in his book"domesticated animals and plants under the variation, " mentioned that" in Homer, geese had already be feed in Ancient Greece, while the temple in Roman times, people kept domestic goose as sacrifice dedicated to God"

From the scientific classification we can see that "duck " and "goose" is a distant relative of the same family in different genus.

In general, domestic goose size is usually greater than the domestic duck’s; however, it’s not the right way to judge goose or duck beacause of their varieties and size variztion.
