Dear Teacher Huang:
One day, while I was grocery shopping at the markets, I came across the lady next door. She said, “Xisong Elementary School has a Class for old people”. I replied, “I am already so old, my mind is slow, I wouldn’t dare go there”. She said,” No problem. You have nothing to do at home and you can make friends there.” With her encouragements, I had the courage to step into the school and enrolled in the classes. From the textbooks I had gained different kinds of experience, and gradually increased my learning interest. I felt that in a society like this, everybody needs friends. After you had been together for a while, you would have the opportunity to learn sophisticated Chinese characters, and also start to focus on learning to write. Although it was a lot of work, but I was willing to accept the challenges. From the bottom of my heart I respected the teachers for dedicating their time and effort to teach us! I wish all the teachers and student a healthy and happy life.
