Setting up interview questions was not easy for students like us who didn’t have the practical knowledge of managing a business. The questions were not really in depth. We needed to imagine the responses and simulate the interview and then modify our questionnaire. We then practiced the interviewing skills on each other and practice to extend the questions based on the responses of the interviewees. After the task, we realized a reporter not only needs to have sufficient background knowledge but also a very quick response.

Since we did not have quite enough experience in tying, to type out the contents of the voice recordings was truly challenging our limits. It usually took us more than an hour to type out the contents of an interview that only lasted around ten minutes.  

During the developmental process, we realized that it was not an easy task to create a craft. As our hands were not as skillful, we wasted a lot of materials at the beginning. It took us 3 weeks time to eventually familiarize with the manufacturing process.

During the survey session at the market, we realized that it was quite a task to invite people for an interview. At first, we were afraid of talking to strangers. More than often people just told us straight they had no interest in completing the questionnaire whenever we asked. It was actually quite frustrating for us. That was also the time when we realized that a lot of courage would be needed in order to interview any strangers in the road. We kept on trying and put on our best smiles in order to ask the people to complete the total of nearly 200 questionnaires.

Although we had learnt about web design in fifth grade, but we still had to refresh our memories. We started drawing illustrations, designing titles all on our own. Some classmates even had to work through the night to complete their tasks.

We were really looking forward to participating in the Cyber-fair. In the beginning, we were all quite worried about the English translation since we knew it would take a lot of time to translate and ensure the correctness of the contents. At the end, our teacher had to recruit two classmates who are good at English as well as Ri-Hong’s father’s assistance to complete the translation.
