We have searched for the past Cyber-fair projects and found that this year’s theme of the project is unique and the website is well-designed with very detailed information.  We admire their effort.

We applied to create a forum online. Anyone who would like to join the forum would become part of our team in creation. It would then thus be much easier to share the workload including updating of news, downloading of files as well as uploading the tasks requested by the teachers.

We discovered this creative market when we went pass Tian-Mu. Our teachers met Chairwoman Tang of Tian-Mu Plaza Business Association while exploring the market place. She treated us with great hospitality and hence we decided on the theme in Tian-Mu Creative Art Market.

In order for us to understand more about Tian-Mu Creative Art Market, we decided to interview some key personnel.  There were quite a few people we intended to interview. We set the questionnaire and rehearsed it on each other in order for the interview to go smoothly.

Even after rehearsing, we were still very nervous at the beginning.  Luckily, the interviewees were very friendly and broke the ice for us. Eventually we were able to finish the interviews smoothly and were very satisfied with the end result.

We made use of our time to do some surveys with the shop owners and got their feedback on their expectation of Tian-Mu Creative Art Market. These creators came from different backgrounds and utilized their creativity in developing their products. They all wish the market can be long-lived and become more popular.

After the interviews, we started to arrange the results into data. Each of us was responsible to type out a section of voice recordings for the whole two weeks. We were so tired of PCs afterward, however, our typing skill improved tremendously.

We decided to setup a booth in Tian-Mu Creative Art Market and we also decided to start learning about handcrafts. The boys were responsible of making colored patterned clips while the girls were in charge of making coasters. It was not easy initially. After a few try outs, we acquired the techniques. It required a lot of attention in order to get it done. Hopefully we will get good results from it and make more people know about Fu-Lin Elementary School.

After the artworks had been completed, our teacher wanted us to set the price for each item. We created an evaluation form by writing down the comments about the uniqueness and the selling price for each item. Initially, we set our prices too high and found out the set price varies a lot among our fellow classmates.  However from this experience, we have learnt an important lesson which is that although the creativity is priceless but it still has to meet the market demand..

We had arranged all the data and photographs to make it into power point format to introduce Tian- Mu Creative Art Market. We were hoping people would come to visit our booth. On one Friday, we promoted our booth by giving out pamphlets. . Nobody knew about Tian-Mu Creative Art Market initially and they were all very interested after our introduction.

We started to set up our booth and begin to start our business. We even got interviewed by reporters by Liberty Times. This event made us realize the fun of starting a business.

We did some surveys by interviewing the pedestrians in the road. Surveying was the most difficult task as we had to face all kinds of people, some were friendly some were cold. We needed a lot of courage to face the rejection from others. However, we realized that most of them love Tian-Mu Creative Art Market a lot.

After discussion, we decided to donate all our earnings. As our school was cooperating with world vision, therefore we used this opportunity and donated our earnings to Genesis Social Welfare Foundation. We all understand that it is better to give than to receive. We feel fortunate to have the ability to help others.

Students from the graphics and data group were responsible for drawing and updating of photos. They had to draw the illustrations which we needed in the webpage. We were proud to say all the drawings were done by our teams. Apart from that, our data group also arranged all the photos and videos for the web-design group to upload them.

Creating the website was a daunting task. We needed to design the layout and titles and our teacher had to correct the mistakes for us. After that, we had to update the journals and photos every week. When the website was done, we were able to see the events for the whole semester. By doing this, we actually learnt a great deal on how to plan and set up a website.
