Future Dreams

Minister Huang wishes that the work of Prison Fellowship can influence the society to make it more peaceful and reduce crime rate.  Here are his three ideals in his life:

  1. Prison enlightenment

The prison enlightens 600 prisoners and wishes them to start all over again in the society after they release from prison.  It is inevitable to be viewed abnormal by others, but by facing it bravely they can only have the opportunities to be born again.

  1. Care for victims and their family

Prisoners are punished by legal sanctions.  However, the harm of the victims and their families can never be compensated.  We can only offer them true care and encouragement.  To forget their pain is not easy, but we can lead them to the bright from the darkness and let them have hopes for future to continue their new life.

  1. Crime prevention

Minister Huang has been invited to speak in elementary schools and junior high schools to advocate non-smoking because there are great possibilities to abuse drugs if smoking.  Don’t touch pornography in order to prevent committing crimes.

Image descriptionIf Minister Huang did not fulfill these three goals, he would not make his dreams possible.  As long as a person is true to the faith, he or she won’t commit crimes.  Victims’ hearts can be healed and no longer feel so painful if they feel love.  In brief, Minister Huang thinks if people can have good religion like him, being led by God, they can have bright future.  Therefore, he hopes people can have good religion to be peaceful in mind so that their motivation of committing crimes will reduce.  Hence, we can have a more peaceful society.

Minister Huang once heard a warden say, “Don’t counsel those who have no love.”  Prisoners need love.  Crimes begin at school and deteriorate in society.

We need more love, but what should we do if everyone’s love is limited?  Only by offering our best, we can gain more if we give more.  People should not be so selfish to love only their own families.  Instead, we should love those who need care.  Never “Be a monk for one day and knock the clock only once.”  No matter prison social workers or those who work at prisons should give their love while working.

Everyone has love.  If you are willing to give, you can acquire more.  If love is from God, it will be plenty.  Minister Huang has served God for 20 years, but he never says he doesn’t go to church.  Some people suggested that not to go to prisons because they would never repent all their life.  However, Minister Huang thinks if there are two of 100 people can repent, he will be content.  Counseling requires patience.  If there is no reply today and tomorrow, never give up.  One day, you will get what you deserve.  It is like planting seeds, which needs time to grow.  I believe my job is to save people by my religion.  They are strange monsters for others, but they have equal opportunities to repent before God’s presence.
